Arbiter armor question

In Halo 2, Rtas tells Thel before they engage Heretic forces that his armor isn’t as high tech as new Sangheili armor. This made me wonder, is the Arbiter armor the same every time? Because at the end of Halo Wars, a Spartan tossed his body off a ledge on Shield World 0459 which its star went supernova. Now is this an inconsistency, and the Arbiter is the same, and passed down to another Sangheili who has been disgraced or is the armor new and based off of ancient Sangheili armor?

The armor is not the same, although it’s probably all modeled the same after the original Arbiter from The Duel. This keeps in line with the religious aspect of the Arbiter title, and also sort of gives the prophets security in believing the Arbiter won’t return from his suicide mission.

In addition

New armor is tailored for each new Arbiter, as you can imagine not all Sangheili share the same body-type and size. Thel is significantly smaller and slender than Moramee, and Moramee’s armor is a little more stylized. It could have evolved over the years to look a little different, or perhaps the disgraced warriors have a say in its aesthetic design.

Thel 'Vadamee had no say in his armor design. The Arbiter armor was simply presented to him and he accepted the role and tasks ahead of him without question. In any case, does anyone here know where he got his ceremonial Arbiter armor from? I am talking about the one he wears in Halo: Escalation and the Halo 2 Anniversary prologue/epilogue scenes.

If youre talking about his gold armour i believe it’s the Kaidon Armour that Thel’ adorns in the Kilo-Five trilogy, not ceremonial “Arbiter Armour”. Presumably Thel’ already had the armour, or it was forged sometime after the events of Halo 3.

Also, they are not as technologically advanced because Arbiters are sent to suicide missions and are expected to die fighting.
