Arbiter and Jul 'Mdama Armor?

Between Halo 2 and 3, you got to play as the Arbiter twice. In Halo 4, Jul 'Mdama wear’s a Zealot armor and the color of his armor is blue, but he has that weird symbol on his helmet. Just in case if playing as elite returns to multiplayer and firefight in Halo Xbox One, I thought it would be cool to have your customize elite to look like the Arbiter or Jul 'Mdama.

It would be pretty cool to have those armours available to us in the future. I’d love to have both the Arbiter’s armour from Halo 2/3 as well as his armour from Escalation, since both versions are really cool!

I personally can’t stand the look of Jul. Not enough armor or under-armor suit, and the pink hands. He does not look intimidating, nowhere near as any of the Arbiters IMO.

I hate that Jul wears the same armor as standard Elites just with a symbol on his head. I hope they give him a redesign. As for the Arbiter, both his armors are absolutely epic and I would love the option to wear them. They should be really hard to unlock, though. Maybe something like the Vidmasters.

TBH, I would rather go for the Arbiter’s armor. Jul Mdama’s armor was too sleek and didn’t look like a “Full” armor set.

I have to agree. I wasn’t overly impressed with Jul’s armor. I expected it to be more bulkier since he’s the “boss” and all. If he had more compact armor like Ripa Moramee/Arbiter armor set, then I would definitely go for that.

I voted maybe because I like the idea of customising but only if it’s faithful to the Covenant general theme, well Halo 4 wasn’t faithful, found the weird symbol kind of random, felt like it just came out of nowhere.

Jul is essentially the prophet of the new covenant.

It makes sense his armor would be ceremonial in nature.

The arbiter on the other hand is someone who is literally just a very professional, very expendable soldier.

This is where multiplayer being a part of the story just doesn’t work. We should be able to customize Elites as much as we can Spartans, regardless of whether or not Elites would do it or not in the actual backstory. If I want my multiplayer Elite to have the Arbiter helmet, one Combat harness shoulder, one Zealot harness shoulder, etc. then I should be allowed to. Reach was a large disappointment when it came to Elite armour customization, and I expect 343i to do better if they bring back Elites to multiplayer.

I’d rather not, same goes for Chief’s armor.

I wouldn’t mind basic Zealot armor but Jul, Thel and Chief are major characters that should have their own unique looks.

Besides who needs Thel and Jul’s armor when 343 are coming up with designs like this Acsetic Elite to the Arbiter’s left. I really hope that all of Thel’s soldiers will have a similar alien samurai look.

I agree with Ramir3z.

In addition, I don’t understand why the leader does always have to have the most fancy and outstanding armor when something simple like a meaningful symbol is actually enough to distinguish him from the rest.

However, in case Elites return as playable characters that can also be customized I think the exact armors of main characters should not be available to keep them unique.

Even still, he looks like a pushover TBH. That, and the pink makes no sense.

Why is his armor so ridiculous? He has like 5 inches of armor to cover each shoulder, just in case a Humans bullet happens to go straight for that and not anywhere else he is exposed. Makes no sense, looks incomplete and random along with, again, two pink hands slapped on there.

He needs a redesign, BADLY.

Come on 343i, bring the Vidmasters back!

Arbiter’s armour looks pretty good in this image, but please, someone explain why he seems to be missing all of the armour plating on his left hand, yet his right hand has everything intact?

On topic: I think 343i should give us this in Halo 6. It would potentially be the last game of the series and be well worth the reward to have played through all of the games, and completed them.

343i didn’t come up with that design, that’s from Halo 3.

Yeah but they’ve added a frill at the back to give it a Samurai look. The new look is way better than the old design IMO.

Jul’s armor is ceremonial and not militarily practical because it isn’t supposed to.

He didn’t become the leader of this Covenant because of any military or honor thing. Its religious. He arrived on Hesduros from a Portal the religious Covies there thought was inactive. He then told them of the Didact, and then led them to their god’s home. Here, he became known as the Didact’s Hand. If you look closely on his armor, there are several hand prints and symbols crudely painted on.

Its all religious and ceremonial, and it captures that look well.

Perhaps, but it still does not look like what an ideal “leader” or “boss” would. He looks like he is missing way too much. Here’s what 4’s style could be for an Arbiter as well as what a leader/boss is ideally pictured as for an Elite, more or less, religious or not.

He doesn’t need anything.

They already look to him as if he’s a god himself.

He was never planning to go out into combat. He has the blessing of the Didact, and no piece of armor will have that effect to a group of religious fanatics.

I have to agree that there was not enough armor or under armor.

I agree, but it wouldn’t have killed them to give him an undersuit…
