AR vs BR starts

It’s clear that the Halo community is almost 50% pro BR starts and the other 50% pro AR starts.
Each has their own qualities, good and bad. And everybody has their own opinion based on their playstyle and experience.
I really liked playing with Ar Br starts, the game was always fast paced. but it kinda leaves the pistol useless.
the pistol makes a great sidearm. During the last few days of the beta they made it AR and pistol starts. I didn’t like the change much, because it slowed the pace of the game down. But in actuality it created alot more teamwork. It sucks when the other team has all the power weapons, but besides that I was able to make some awesome plays that the br would of put an end to. reloading the AR at the wrong time can get u dead… i managed to get a sick triple kill… was shooting a guy, then another guy started shooting me, I had to reload so i took out my pistol got a headshot at close range really fast, reloaded killed the other guy, thrustered over with no shield, luckily the guy was reloading, and took him out. all of that could of been squashed by a BR across the map.

anyway thats just my experience recently. I like both loadouts, but overall AR’s play better imo, even though the pros will disagree because its not precision weapons. I think Long Range rifles should be map pickups with limited ammo.

Anyway, just make team slayer gametypes default loadout as AR and pistol starts. Give slayer pro their own playlists with BR starts. simple, everyones happy.

Yup two playlist solves everyones problems, now as to whether 343 will actually do this is up in the air as 343 seems to have this special power of ignoring what people playing their games want.(they’re much better at ignoring people than Bungie was as both halo 2 and 3 had both BR and AR/SMG start playlist). Second AR/SMG starts actually balance ranks better. example halo2 had awesome rank balance as I mostly played with people within 3 ranks of myself even though I could theoretically play people up to 10 levels higher/lower than me, I remember all the lower level games were run and gun close quarter battles with plenty of dual wielding and melee attacks, and once you got high enough the games became all about sniper and riffle control.
