Ok halo 5 is a pretty amazing little different from the others halo but one thing I don’t like is that ar is tooooooo OP in the game what’s the whole point in trying to get better with other guns if AR destroy the battle ground its powerful & its has pretty dumb range. What do you guys think? You think it needs to be nerf
Its good that the AR is actually balanced now. Its fun to use for those who enjoy auto weapons. Keep in mind the pistol is also a starter weapon yet even more powerful than the AR.
Really OP I don’t think the OP is unbalanced at all, unless I have been caught completely off guard even CQC I always seem to be able to out shoot an AR user with pistol or whatever long before they can kill me.
pistol is best choice atm
The poor AR never gets any love from the precision weapon crowd. I think they balanced it well in H4.

And from the sound of it Halo 5. If you like it then its a viable choice to keep using.
Bungie games were pretty much BR and irrelevant weapons.
If anything the AR is underpowered. Honestly though, I’m happy with the way it is. all the weapons I have used so far are well balanced.
I dunno op, I kind of like how every weapon is now useful or viable in one way or another.
Every weapon I’ve used so far is very fair and balanced. Even the suppressor is shockingly useful now unlike its Halo 4 counterpart.
If you’re constantly getting killed by the AR then I suggest you put some range between your target and yourself and use that pistol.
I love the AR, its so good to see that they have brought it back and made it actually decent again. It has been basically a throw-away weapon after the original Halo which was always a shame to me.
I absolutely love the AR, it’s not completely useless anymore, nor is a peashooter like the SMG in halo 2, god that thing was awful. Glad to see its a viable weapon and its not just BR’s everywhere.

Nope
its about time the AR has seen some action. Being able to use other weapons than the DMR/BR is a breath of fresh air as opposed to using a couple weapons all the time.
nope. its taken 15 years but the ar is finally balanced again.
The balance between the two starting weapons, the AR and Magnum, is one of the things I like most about MP so far. You really have to make choices about what weapon to have out at any given time. Going in a cramped corridor/cave? Probably gonna encounter CQB situations so get your AR out. Got good sightlines and mid-long range? Magnum is you best bet. It’s so awesome to have weapons other than the big 3 preciosions be useful for once.
It’s op compared to other ARs, but it’s pretty balenced, and someone with a pistol could easily beat someone with an AR at mid - long range
