Will it have bloom? And will it be a pile of crap like it is in Reach?
It wasn’t a pile of crap in Reach, maybe you just don’t know how to use it.
Just because a weapon can’t kill someone in 0.8 seconds doesn’t mean it’s bad.

someone hasn’t played Halo 3’s AR in a while…
yes it has bloom. it widens much faster than Reach’s (Ewww). it is also much better for cqb.

Yes

No
Bloom is actually kinda good for the AR. It makes it controllable, at least to a degree more than spread.
That being said, it does look like the bloom extends too far too quickly, and it seems to dominate close quarters.
I’ll most likely pay it no mind like I did the last 2 games. It doesn’t look special or fun or too skillful to use. If that changes, I’d give it a shot.
It does have bloom but i have heard that it is the best non power weapon in close quarters combat.
AR will probably be my Primary weapon for most, if not all loadouts.
So no, it won’t be a “Pile of Crap” like in Reach, even though Reach’s AR was pretty awesome.

It takes a whole clip to kill someone is near one shot. That means it’s a bad weapon

No derp Sherlock.

Um, I don’t even need a full clip to kill someone with full health AND shields. How exactly do you use the weapon if you need a full clip to kill an unshielded opponant?
Yes and probably. From the gameplay I’ve seen it looks terrible, but at this point full-autos in Halo are pretty much a joke, I don’t expect them to be competent anymore…

Thanks for contributing.

spinning around while shooting.

LOLWUT?
What gameplay? everyone’s too involved with their precious BR to give any time to Old School MA5,
Give me a link, kthx.

It’s not exactly a clip but more than what it should take to kill someone. It is great for assists I’ll give it that.
Yes, it does have bloom, and it’s more powerful than Reach’s AR.

I’ve heard the opposite. Apparently this is the strongest AR since CE. Plus how can you judge when most of the gameplay we’ve seen shows of the BR?
The bloom needs to slow down. The reticule expands too fast

Um, the campaign demo? There was also a MLG tourney that Gamespot posted, I’m thinking about the one on Adrift. The thing blooms like a mother -Yoink-, how is that supposed to be remotely versatile or useful outside of close-range combat? It definitely wasn’t in Reach and don’t even get me started on Halo 3’s BB rifle. Why do you think everyone uses weapons like the BR over the cruddy AR and Storm Rifle? BECAUSE THEY SUCK. The BR, DMR, and Carbine can operate effectively at all ranges of combat, the AR is stuck in one and even there you’ll get owned by anyone with a power weapon.

The AR is solely for cqb of course its gonna suck in any other condition.
