April's inside infinite

This month’s inside infinite update could be a big one. It involves the pc team. But 343 has also hinted they will be discussing the games content. What are yall expecting?

I want to see Craig.

Can you elaborate on how you know it involves the pc team?

If you look at the beginning of February’s Inside infinite, they stated that April’s update would be PC focused. Plans could have changed but 343 has not said anything about that so for now the April update should be about the PC version of the game.

Honestly, I still think everyone needs to keep expectations low. These are drip feeds leading up to the June E3 presentation if I had to make any guesses.

We may get another tease like the hidden audio a couple of month’s back, but otherwise I think they will keep their cards close to their chests.

The Inside Infinites have been excellent so far.

Yes, it’s a carefully controlled drip feed… but we get to see what the various teams are thinking / doing. How much effort they are putting in. How passionate they are. The audio one last week was fascinating.

We only have 2 more episodes before E3 - and they will be very careful not to trip up any of their big reveal plans for June.

Looking forward to the PC chat. Hopefully they will chat about things like cross play, controller vs KBM, and different set ups (resolution / frame rates / FOV). With a bit of luck we may spill over into some multiplayer territory here.

We’ll get another couple of pics. We’re definitely due for another multiplayer shot. A new weapon reveal? And another coating (or two) wouldn’t go astray.

I imagine the May Inside will be all about leading into E3 - chatting to marketing / trailer production teams etc… so this could be the last one with the gloves on.

I just want new gameplay so I can see different footage whenever I watch a halo infinite-related video.

On a real note though. Multiplayer. Anything to do with multiplayer. We’ve heard so much about the campaign, and while it’s exciting, we know zilch about the multiplayer

I want to hear how they’re handling KBM versus controller. Is one clearly superior and requires splitting the player population into two? Do they both have their strengths and weaknesses?

They said in February it involves the pc team and we will know more of what to expect this fall. Could mean anything really. I’m expecting some more screenshots, and possibly either some info on summer plans, beta plans, or possibly game content. I doubt it will be any huge new info. I think 343 will keep a lot under wraps until E3.

The PC team should be very up front about their anti-cheat efforts. I gave up PC gaming entirely ~15 years ago because I got so tired of constantly dealing with hackers in games.

I’m pumped that Halo will get to see a huge audience because it’s cross platform and F2P, but I am very worried that hackers are going to ruin the experience.

Imo, the anti-cheat topic should be the #1 priority the team talks about in this month’s Inside Infinite.

I want to look upon the gorgeous Infinite Elite model and weep as I can’t use it. It’s such a beautiful model 🥲

Seems like 343i did a good job to keep cheating to a minimum in MCC. They’ll probably continue the trend with Infinite.

There’s a large difference between keeping up security against cheaters for games with populations as small as MCC vs Infinite, which is poised to have a much larger audience.

More players -> More people creating/selling hacks -> The more anti-cheat efforts are needed.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy the MCC hasn’t really had the issue. But I think it’s going to be a whole other beast to keep up with Infinite cheat-ware based off the news cycles over the last few years of the PC games with major player bases like CoD, BF5, Apex, etc.

I expect something along the lines of mod support info, forge PC controls, etc. Nothing too major. Maybe a few new screenshots from in-game and in-engine. I feel we should expect a more campaign based look in May followed by an E3 presentation in June (I believe June 6th is highly likely if it comes before the actual E3 week just like it always has. June 13th if happening during E3’s actual event weekend.) We still have over two weeks to go. So, we’ll see.

I just got a notification that my previous comment was liked and I realized April’s Inside Infinite hasn’t arrived yet! Which means it is tomorrow!

I stand by my opinion. I don’t think we will be getting too much deep info. We could see a hidden file or something perhaps. Maybe additional photos from in-game. But I don’t think too much “big info” will be present. I think we’ll get even less in May to prepare for a major reveal in June.

I think it should’ve been out by now, they have always come out on the 25th. Something’s up.

It’s usually the last Thursday of every month so probably this afternoon.

Anyone that’s actually playing on pc should want to pay attention to news about this above anything else. It was the single most controversial thing about the mcc pc version. Controllers have way too much aim assist that it’s practically a built in aim bot. If they decide to keep the aim assist like that for this game, it’s important to know so that we can lower our expectations for the pc version.

However, since that single piece of news will make or break this game for majority of pc players, I’m curious if they’ll have the nads to announce that they won’t fine tune the aim assist for pc. If they do that… Don’t expect a thriving pc community

Out at 3:43 pm pacific time today!

It is the final Thursday of each month, not the 25th for release date, and they normally release in the afternoon, Pacific time. You have at least 4-5 hours until it releases today if I had to guess.
