I have worked in retail, been a substitute teacher, and worked in customer service for many years of my adult life. One thing all of those jobs taught me is that people believe that things should always go well, and when they don’t they complain.
I see a lot of complaining here (and rightfully so in many cases), but I just want to show some appreciation for what you all have done for HW2. This is my favorite game and it has come a reaaaaallllllyyyyy long way from when it first came out. I just want everyone who is working on this game to know that you are appreciated. I love that there are many characters with their own personalities. The game isn’t perfect yet, but I have no doubt that you all will get it done. Again, you are appreciated.

I’m viewing all the cutscenes. These Brutes are intimidating. Much more so than they ever were in Halo 2 or 3. The Banished, they seem to come straight from World of Warcraft, and I love it. Halo does well with a little more fantasy inspired narrative and characters. This is a homerun so far.
Honestly, for all the hate 343i has gotten, I have only ever been supportive!
I know they’re trying their best to meet our demands, but they’re still only human (sorry guys, they only write the stories for the super humans, they’re not actually super human themselves :c) and sometimes they make mistakes. While many opted to hate on Halo 4 and Halo 5 (and even Halo: CEA and Halo 2A for it ‘straying from Halo’s roots graphics wise’) I have only loved them because they are still good games. Just because they’re not ‘what Bungie would have done’ doesn’t make them bad.
343i and all who work there, I leave you with this message whether you read it or not;
Keep doing what you’re doing and don’t stop being awesome because you’ve done some amazing things. Maybe not things everyone can agree is ‘what’s best for Halo’ but amazing things none the less!
Fully agree with you, played halo wars from the day of release all the way to halo wars 2. Now for the past two years have been enjoying halo wars 2. The game was clearly designed by people that care about the games and lore, otherwise they wouldn’t bother with so many details and new additions to the game. Heck, they managed to do what those in charge of the original wanted to do, add a “Covenant” campaign. Besides, they keep updating and tweaking the game far more regularly compared to Robot was able to with Halo Wars. Like its predecessor, I plan on playing this game hopefully until a third game comes out.
Good words. HW2 has quickly become one of my favorites from a campaign/storytelling standpoint.
Most expectations don’t see a HW3, so I’m hoping the Banished and Spirit of Fire play a role in Infinite.
Cheers,
Brad
