So when you look at the elite skull shoulders in the BattlePass, they’re a normal “bone looking” color which is awesome. But I noticed that is because that happens to be the color of the default coating. When you switch to the red and black coating, it paints the skulls red. Which is kind of cool, but also kind of not if you’re just looking for an unpainted skull.
My friends and I would love the option as a toggle to “apply coating” to armor pieces and attachments. So if I had that red and black coating but wanted the default bone color of the elite shoulders, I could still have that. But if someone wants red skulls, it still gives them the option. The same would be true for the chest attachments for example. They’re always painted the default grey option. Which sometimes it works with the coating. But it would be nice to allow them to also be painting with the coating for a more cohesive look.
Obviously this seems rather daunting at first. They might have to select certain armor (like the elite skulls) to work towards first and chest attachments. I’m not looking to have each and every individual armor piece have individual coatings on them. Mostly when I saw the coatings applied to the skull, I went “Cool, but I kind of want it to look like bone and a trophy. Not a painted piece of kit.” And conversely as stated, a lot of the chest attachments are just a metal grey. It’d be nice to have a toggle to “apply coating” to those.
As a bonus, my armor emblem being hidden under the chest attachment sucks. You should apply it to the chest piece
Or allow us to custom place it ourselves.
Hope this helps and is something to be implemented. More than happy to provide additional details.
Thoughts? Am I the only on e here?
