Maybe its the millennial in me, but I’d like an app with a smooth UI for Waypoint. I know its been done in the past but the support wasn’t there long. I think it’d do well.
I wouldn’t mind having the app again. Being able to pull up stats and forms on mobile easier the using the mobile site.

I feel like this topic gets brought up fairly frequently, which is to say that clearly there is at least some level of demand for a Waypoint App. I’m guessing the reason they haven’t done one is they haven’t seen a concrete benefit in doing so. Waypoint is free and does not generate revenue directly for 343 (you don’t pay 343 to use it), so there really isn’t an incentive to further expand its usability without a monetary component. At least the way I see it.

I would like to hope that monetary compensation isn’t the reason why stats on Waypoint have taken a nose dive as of recent years.
Bunige’s plan for their Halo titles was to provide as many stats as possible on B.net.
I don’t remember if these were provided for H4, but since 343 took over gone are global heat maps, all time weapon kills, and for the MCC you can’t even view an individual match stats and the game history is super buggy! At least for H5 I know they have a large number of behind the scenes telemetrics like how fast a player switches specific weapons or how much damage a player deals with certain weapons. I just wish they would provide these stats more publicly on Waypoint, although they might be offered in the Halo 5 API, can’t say for sure.
If 343 can provide these stats then I think an app would be even more plausible, but at the moment I don’t think they want to do it because we would end up using it as a browser (which I would still enjoy). I really hope with the release of HI and improved support of the MCC that at least these titles will have vastly supperior support here on Waypoint to make coming here more appealing for casual fans who are curious.
i would love an app! i love browsing the forums in my free time and checking my service record. a smooth app would be nice!
I would love an app, so when I’m on breaks or just chilling on my phone I can just boot up the app, look at my stats and interact with people on the forums. The interacting with and seeing what people are talking about on the forums is something I do on a regular basis here, but I prefer to do it more on my PC as it feels a bit odd on a mobile device (through a browser, at least for me.
