I was curious how long it takes for the request for a higher API limit to get approved? I’m curious since if someone submits an app to the iOS App Store, it takes a few days to get approved by Apple, and then say it gets approved, I’m curious about this since if multiple users use the app and there is a limit of 10 calls per 10 seconds, it may make the user experience a bit worse since they have to wait. So I am just curious if anyone else who submitted to the app store was able to request this as it was getting approved by Apple or if we need to wait until it is in the app store and how long it takes for 343. Thank you as always!
As far as I know; you don’t have to be live to get a higher rate. Fill out the form in this post as best you can and shoot off an email.
You could have a production key before you submit to the apple store.
I submitted on a Saturday and was approved the following Friday (~5-6 days).

Thank you. Just curious, did you also submit an application under developer access on the api page that also shows profile, subscriptions, and your applications? Thanks.

No, just an email was enough.
If you’re approved, they’ll add a production access product to your account (you’l then have a dev product and a production product).
Hey HAILtoREDSKINS,
Tamar here, from the Halo Services team.
We usually try to respond to rate limit requests within a few business days.
In regards to your question about when to post the request – we do require that your app will be production ready and prefer to have something we can run and see on our side.
However, if you’re already in the App store approval process, you can send us screenshots and call pattern details. Make sure to send a screenshot of where your disclaimer is, and we’ll review the request.
Thanks,
Tamar
