Honestly tempted, seeing lots of the same bugs that still not fixed in H5, plus lots more bugs with no response and no response on anything important.
Besides from a few joke posts on here I’ve done nothing but try and give good detailed feedback and answer people as much as I can, from volt and his H5 thrust obsession to 10 posts on here just today asking about that effin Medic medal, to outlines and collision.
If I can answer these people daily - where is the community manager? Why isn’t Unyshek going round the department’s with a clipboard and a list of our concerns getting real answers, real timescales, real news and bringing it back to us? He’s done 2 videos since launch, one throwing a fusion coil and the other so boring I switched off so can’t remember.
I was the first (literally top comment) to thank sketch when he finally broke silence after Christmas here but really - nothing feels like it’s moving.
All I want is a fair game, with the desync and player collision and whole list of problems, no score on any scoreboard is a true representation of skill and even then the rank is so ridiculous I almost always play fiesta because why play ranked when it’s not accurate.
I’m talking about the games where I go 20-5 as much as the bad games. If they fire at me and I know I should have died, it’s just as infuriating that way too.
Honestly feel the same way as Aozolai and might try and break this 20 year habit if things don’t move forward soon.
I mean you do realize that they don’t work weekends right? Besides, they’ve been chirping like crazy lately.
I don’t personally want someone that coddles me and tells me everything is going to be alright. I’d rather they just do stuff instead. Actions > Words.
Why do we need videos to answer basic questions and concerns? Is this for people that are illiterate?
This is what everybody says about anything. Real world isn’t like fairy tales. Devs don’t just snap their fingers and make all our wishes a reality.
As far as your original post, I agree that we should be hearing more feedback but I think they need to be careful not promise things they can’t deliver. The least they could do is acknowledge more of the obvious problems, such as lag/hit detection, so we know they’re aware of them.
That’s actually an interesting insight. We were only chatting about that in our customs match session last week.
Some of our group ranked into Infinite pretty much the same as they were in Halo 5 (mainly my sons) and others (such as me) ranked in lower than H5.
I think it comes down to playstyle. Those who rely more on their 1v1 seemed to rank the same. Those who relied more on map movement, weapon mix ups, and team play - tended to struggle at first. And especially those who hadn’t played a lot of objective games.
Don’t worry. It won’t take long. As soon as I got used to the maps I got back to Halo 5 ranking. And now, with some experience in objective games (which I think actually suit my play) I’ve gone above my Halo 5 ranking.
Im not worried tho, I’m ticked that the game is saying I’m worse than i actually am on my next “weekend” im going to try to rank up a little, also i win about 80-85% of my 1v1s and have 53%+ accuracy every match
