My first H5 montage leave a like if you enjoyed! Most of the clips are against Pro/Competitive players in ANZ, the rest are just from random matchmaking games. Thanks!
Your intro was very well done! Really love the fact that the music slowly builds up along with your gameplay to reveal the title. Well executed! And for your title, I really like the design and because of that, I would make it bigger to fill the screen. Really show off the footage playing through the words and it will also make it pop a lot more!
At 2:08 you have the UI interface on with your camera pan which can be distracting the viewer. In the future I would recommend to leave it off. But I really like that you used that camera move to highlight the kill but you only did this once and I think what would make your montage even better is if you used this more frequently to give more variety to your shots.
I think your overall editing was good but I think it could be more concise in a way that really reflects your song choice. Probably my favorite bit of editing was at 3:18 when the music started to shift into a faster pace, your editing did a good job in reflecting that. I would say treat your shots overall in this way. Don’t leave any dead space because a lot of your clips are a string of kills that take place in one clip but in that amount of time from one kill to the next, your editing tempo is slowed and at that point your music doesn’t reflect the pace of the clip. In those instances, I would recommend playing with the speed of the clips to fast forward at times when there really isn’t much going on in between kills. For example at 2:57, at this time you could fast forward to the final kill and then play back at normal speed as you get the grenade kill for the win. That way, it gets rid of the dead space that happens and also makes that last kill standout even more. Plus you could play with the clip goes when going back to normal speed to coincide with the tempo of the music as well.
Very solid first montage! And be sure to post back here when you publish your next one!
