Ever since Halo 3 people have been requesting that there should be unlockable items through achievements, I 100% agree with this and do wish we got something from the achievements we unlocked, I currently have 100% achievement completion on Halo 5 and I have about 90% on Master Chief Collection.
Do you think that we should unlock at least something from achievements and if so what do you think we should unlock?
What achievements should unlock what items? etc.
I don’t know about you, but I stopped caring about achievements long ago because they didn’t give me any satisfaction or reward for accomplishing it. I used to enjoy bleep bloop hunting, but I don’t anymore because they’re basically useless. “Congratulations, you did a thing! This is all you get, but still, you did a thing! Be happy!”
Having said that, I would like to see game-specific unlocks for completing certain achievements (Uplay does this and that’s the one thing I liked about it).
You don’t get anything in return. Just a sense of accomplishment.
Yes, you get more gamerscore than you would have had without all the achievements.
Armor sets should definitely be unlock-able from achievements instead of RNG. It brings meaning to the armors and gives players something to work towards.

I used to love getting achievements. I still do but I HATE how they don’t always work. These server side achievements are YOINK! Last achievement in H5 I tried for was the complete the sword of Sanghelios mission with two players in mantis on heroic or higher and we did it three times and no achievement ever popped. MCC achievements were even worse at times for not registering. But sure I wouldn’t mind unlocking stuff for getting them but it doesn’t matter to me really. I feel accomplished just by getting them. Today’s gamers seem to want to be rewarded for everything now a days. But I am an old school gamer when before beating a game meant you saw the credits and just got to play again. Satisfaction just from completing the game.

As a somewhat old and young whippersnapper, I’d be fine if they didn’t have achievements at all! It’s kind of an all or nothing, but that’s it.
Some games were so hard back in the early days that beating them felt like a life achievement, lol.
For H5, I think they could’ve added something with achievements instead of the majority of it tied to the REQ system.
At least you get special emblems for completing various commendations although I can confirm that there is nothing for 100%-ing all commendations just like there is nothing for completing the achievements.
Take a photo and mail it to them and you get a nice patch to sew onto your jean jacket. Er wait did I just show my age?

Halo 3 did have armor you could get from achievements. Halo 5 kinda does in the sense that to unlock the base helioskrill armor you have to complete every campaign on legendary (minus ODST) in the Master Chief collection

Well that’s the skinned varieties the base version is still pretty rare and requires the achievement
That’s what I loved about the armours in H4 you knew if someone was wearing a certain type they had earned it with a commendation not just req packs

Me too, since the Xbox one came out the whole system changed and I find it now useless and it does not give me the same satisfaction as before, now I just play the games for the campaign and once that’s done I move to the multiplayer
You get nothing here on waypoint for 100% the halo games. Not even a badge, which is a shame.

Agreed, that’s why I’m happy Nintendo still doesn’t have anything like achivements. Just fun games
I try to 100% all the Halo games, but it’s just personal satisfaction for me.
maybe a REQ pack and maybe for something like beating the campaign solo legendary you could get chiefs current armour or something like that
