So Halo 5 worked completely fine up until yesterday, and when I tried to play the game after the update came out I literally can’t do anything. I click on the game when I’m at the dashboard, it makes the sound as if I clicked it, and absolutely nothing happens. First thing I did was mash A on it for about 5 minutes straight: nothing. Then I got pissed so I hard reset my xbox (cause that’s the magic trick for xbox one) turned it back on: nothing. Reset it about 5 more times: nothing. Got even more pissed so I uninstalled the whole game which made me wait for about 4 hours to get it back, to which I tried again: nothing. So at this point it’s 11pm and I know i’m not going to get to play before I go to bed, so I contacted xbox support and all the guy could come up with yet is that I “haven’t received the update yet.” Umm, okay? If I haven’t received the update, then why is my game not working when it worked perfectly fine yesterday without the update? If I haven’t received the update, then why am I being completely shut out from playing my game. So I gave up and went to bed hoping that today would bring better results. Woke up, tried again: nothing. I honestly have no idea what I am supposed to do. Other games work perfectly fine, and there is no way to remove an update on xbox one, or manually check for updates that I haven’t received yet, so I’m basically screwed and can’t play my game. I’m pretty technologically inclines, and I can almost always figure this crap out, but this is just dumb. I’ve never had this happen and I’ve tried everything I could possibly think of to get it to work. My internet is perfectly fine, my cables are perfectly fine, it’s no problem on my end.
If anyone else is having this problem, please let me know so that I know I’m not the only one. Sorry for rambling on, but if I don’t describe every single detail I know there’s going to be someone asking me if I did something that I did in fact do. I know how to fix stuff, and this one is just ridiculous. Thanks for taking the time to read, and if anyone has suggestions i’m wide open!
