I’m not going to explain why lore-wise Spartan Abilities belong in Halo 5. I’m not going to say that Halo needs to innovate our die. I’m just going to ask: “Didn’t you enjoy the Beta with all the increased movement and verticality?” I personally hope they stay until at least Halo 9: Guardians of the Evolved Combat.
Wat.

Didn’t you hear? Halo is going to do a Final Fantasy and use any name possible to avoid numbers.

You don’t know what that word means.Edit: I was stupid. Read too fast.
I didn’t play the beta but I do like the Spartan abilities (besides slide, but that doesn’t seem very useful so I guess I’m ok with it)
If you’re trying to make a joke, it’s not really working.

Did you even read what I wrote. I said I’m not going to say that like like nearly everyone else who defends Spartan Abilities
“Increased Verticality” is definitely not how I would describe the beta when the majority of the time it threw me on Empire or Eden, both terrible maps in my opinion, neither of which having any significant amount of verticality.
Abilities…I didn’t really use them that much. I mean sure you’re using Thruster, Clamber, and Sprint all of the time, but besides those three the other abilities might as well not even exist.

By increased verticality I meant how you can reach different heights without having to use ramps or lifts. However I do agree with you, I barely used Charge, Slide or GP but they are cool additions.

I’m with Ramir3z77. I don’t need “cool additions.” They feel gimmicky and Halo doesn’t need gimmicks. IMO.
I played the beta, and I did NOT enjoy all the new movement options. A large part of why I enjoyed classic Halo was its pacing. That pacing is gone now.

Yeah. Everything about CE was perfect except the spawn system for 4v4.
