Anyone use their mic in matchmaking?

Hi,

played several games today, and just occurred to me that noone plays with their mics anymore! Is thereb anyone out there who still does for team slayer and the arena? Fed up with playing with those who don’t and against those who do!

I do - although I’m usually on at weekends.

Team Objective & Team Slayer are fine for me.

GT - Concord Dawn

I do, but it’s extremely rare to see someone else in MM w/ randoms using a mic.

I used to use my mic a lot in Halo 3 but in Halo Reach I rarely call out as I don’t play the competitive multiplayer often enough to know call-outs.

I’ve never been able to take Reach seriously, felt like a troll by Bungie TBH.

I havent seen someone with a mic since this game came out a year ago. It’s kinda sad, lonely, and too quiet.

I use it, but I search with friends pretty often and it’s more fun to talk than it is to play in silence. I don’t expect most randoms to have mics though. They usually just trash talk or complain the whole game.

Only with friends. Mic in general population matchmaking is a fools errand.

I dunno I’ve heard some amusing things from randoms.

I use Astro A40’s so technically I’m always wearing a mic but choose to mute it as when I speak people almost always start dumb conversations and are just irritating in-game with complaining and demanding power weapons.

I do but its more useful when you’re in a clan and you have the same call outs.

nope. I have the mute all option on by default. I don’t talk to ppl I don’t know.Party Chat ftw.

I use a mic, when I play in Living Dead, but if I get cheezed off or feel it’s distracting me from gameplay I’ll turn it off. Or someone’s using extra salty language.

Agreed, alking with friends in game is funny, especially when they die or just talk about random things!

There’s no point if you aren’t in a party.

Mics on Rumble Pit? Nope, i don’t use it there and i’ll mute you whether you have one or not (or are in party chat). There are those who use trash talking to unnerve players before game and i use this feature to make sure my game is on rather than off. Psychological warefare in online gaming if you will but i digress.

If i am in a team with friends, i will use my mic of course :P.

Call me strange but I think this guy actually has a point… I tried playing Halo 3 and these guys were trash talking me, I lost pretty badly. Yeah party mic is better unless you absolutely have to communicate with someone on your team.
