I know there is a big push for bumper-jumper but I actually find that the default controls with some alteration to the deadzones, works perfectly. I used to use the universal reclaimer for MCC and now it’s become the default. Anyone out there agree?
Pro Halo player Ninja from Team Renegades uses Default layout as well.
I use the h5 default.
Recon w/ claw for me.
I use default, always have and always will. The claw grip makes it a lot more viable.
Claw grip just makes me scratch my head and go “how you doing that?”
I use default. Never could get the hang of the claw tho
Ive always used default since H1. With the elite controller it doesnt really matter anymore but most of my buttons are mainly default still.
I used to play guitar when I was younger so claw was kind of natural for me. I’ll switch to bumper jumper for a few games if I need to give my hands a rest. I find I play best when I mix it up.
I used the Halo 4 layout for about half of the Halo 5 Beta before accepting the change and went with default. Mainly because of how annoying it is to constantly click RS to rescope automatic weapons.
I have an Xbox Elite controller so I have no need for bumper jumper.
I used to use recon because it was most like classic Halo. I switched to default though because its more practical for using the armor abilities.

What do you mean by that? Do you mean the actual act of having your hand in that position or knowing where to move your finger? Or something else entirely?
I still use default. I’m too scared to change it and have to relearn haha
Shouldn’t this question be “Is there anyone that doesn’t use default controls?” Am I missing something or is default no longer the norm people use?

Both really. It just seems like a crazy concept in my mind learning to fire with your middle finger while your index is on the buttons. Feels unnatural to me.
I do. It seems that most people use controls similar to those of cod, battlefront, destiny etc. But because melee is so useful in halo 5, I choose to keep default so it is right under my fingers instead of a -Yoink- to get to
Always used default. There shouldn’t be other options.
I use the Halo 4 controls.

Same here. I’m sure if I tried it long enough, I’d eventually get used to it, I just don’t play enough anymore to put in that kind of time sucking.

Well, what was unnatural for you was natural to me. Granted, I didn’t start with claw. I had my index on the bumper and middle on the trigger. Eventually I figured out that using my index for the buttons was better than the thumb.
