Because the three times I’ve managed to get the assassination the enemy blows him (and me) up mid animation.

I have managed once.
Everyone else had been wearing him down, I jumped in and finished him off.
It got everybody else upset and they offed me!!
Do you get something special for assassinating warden?
I always see people trying to do it and they usually get shredded by splash damage.
Nothing out of the ordinary, just the points for taking him down and a medal!

I’ve managed only one so far. I really wish the animation didn’t last 9 hours so it’s not so pointless to even attempt the damn thing.
I’ve successfully assassinated the warden in the Campaign but not in Warzone.

Oh. I got a showstopper shooting at an enemy next to warden. I wasn’t sure if it was a glitch.

It only counts as a kill in your warzone record, not in campaign.
I have successfully assassinated the warden at least 7 times and have that commendation maxed out. Like some one said be stealthy and ninja him. Need proof of said assassinations you can see them in my captures on Xbox.com or on Xbox one.
3 attempts in Warzone, my teammates have killed him before the animation could be completed every time. I feel like if the animation starts, you should get credit for the kill.
