I’m just saying… I may sound like a kid my self if I get a head set, but I wont talk like one. Let me walk you through it… “Meow*” goes a cat in the back ground. “Frisky! Don’t do that!” Scrambling noises in the mic as you blink a few times. “Sorry guys, thats my cats Frisky. She was trying to jump up on to the dresser.” Blink a few more time* The match starts with a few loud breathing noises. Then, out of the blue, “Oh! … I died guys…” Shake your head with a loud sigh* “Dang it! Died again!” Sigh again* “Oh! … Again!” I don’t care at ALL. You think as you run your hand down your face…
I think the kids without a mic.
Or refuse to use them are worse…
Why would people rather lose?..than use a mic?
I’ve had this happen so much… but at least it never happens when I play halo 3

Halo 3 was also rated “M” and not “T” which ensured an older demographic.

Not really… go to every rated m game ever… my point is proven.
I’d rather have a squeaker.
Than someone who mutes their chat.
And can’t be informed, directed or talk back.

It’s hard for me to do well when some idiot is giving me a play by play description of their inability to kill the enemy. That’s why I mute the chat. Plus, 70% of the time, it ends either being: A) someone is playing bad music into the mic; or B) someone is just rebroadcasting the in game audio, which I don’t need to hear twice.

Even if I don’t have a mic I can still hear callouts given by those with mics, besides I don’t need babysitting cause I already know what I’m doing.
People don’t call out, let’s be real. lol
Insta-mute every damn time I enter a game.
i have a mic, but my parental settings don’t allow me to talk to strangers, so I am innocent.
My favorite one is; “hello?..heavy breathing…hello?..heavy breathing…anyone there?..heavy breathing…hello?..heavy breathing intensifies…”
I just mute the annoying ones and only play arena with a team
Yeah it’s slightly annoying when a younger players has to be vocal about anything and everything, but just mute them and problem solved.
I’m not here to talk about which is the best Pokemon, I’m here to communicate effectively to hopefully increase my chances of a win. If there’s a whiny prepubescent kid on the mic, they’re not gonna contribute anything of substance, so… mute city.
That being said, hardly anybody calls out these days. I try to give my mates a sit rep “3 at my X, one with shotty” or “all 4 running counterclockwise, red base currently” but I don’t think anybody cares as much as I do at the end of the day
Outside of the members of my Company, I’m pretty much tired of EVERYONE with headsets. Yeah kids can be rather annoying. But so can:
- Music playing into the mic the entire game
- Two jack-yoinks talking about how high they are
- The ultra-competitive MLG wannabe that goes into a match solo
- The “Hello anyone have a mic?” guy repeating the question the entire match
- The “Religious diatribe” guy that spent an entire Warzone Assault match discussing the evils of Muslim immigration (complete with audio excerpts of President Obama speeches btw).
Yeah, no. I’m pretty much done with any and all RANDOMS no matter what their age.
I mute everyone. Immature players with mics are the bane of gaming.
I’m going to make up statistics, so be forewarned…
One game out of ten, I hear people with mics.
About 99 times out of 100 (of those one in ten games) when I hear someone using a mic, it’s some kid making noise. And by noise, I mean everything the OP said.
One time out of a hundred (again of those ten games) when I hear someone with a mic, he’s actually not a bad guy. He’ll make intelligent comments about the guy. Thanks, one guy out of one hundred.
When I come across someone with a mic, it’s rarely anything of use.
I wish people actually used their mics but judging from people here they already mute everyone regardless. Or in my experience they could be in party chat.
I think you have “kinect” confused with Mic.
You should be hearing a meowing cat from a Good Mic.
Which is why we form fireteams on lfg so we have a party chat instead
Otherwise i dont really mind unless they are making too much noise
These so called squeakers could be the future generation of Halo players
Also their complaints and them shouting sometimes makes it quite fun and more interesting rather than have a quiet game of warzone. + its fun to mess around with them
