I had one with 7 Xbox One’s…it quickly turned into a Pizza Party LOL. We had no games played with everyone in 5 hours. I have been asking and asking on the forum and nothing. There is no system link option everyone must be connected to Xbox live in order to play the game. Which was fine but when all those xbox’s where on the NAT kept going strict so we could no longer party up together without erroring out, or you just couldnt even see people in the friends menu. I like you have been organizing Halo Parties since the old CE days. So naturally when this came out I really wanted to do like a throwback to the highschool days halo party. This was pre the big CU patch so I’m not sure how it would work now it was mid January. I can’t advise to do it until they add an offline system link option. It is possible on xbox one as both Call of Duty Ghosts, and Call of Duty Advanced Warfare have the option. If you do have one and you have better luck than me post CU please hit me up I would love to have one! I cannot believe they left this out of an anniversary collection of a game that pretty much saved the Original Xbox DUE in large part to LAN parties…OY! Sorry to be the barer of bad news man.

Well… that doesn’t sound encouraging - I’ll have to do a test in advance!
Really sad…
Just wondering how they’re doing all these tournaments!
Man, I’m with you guys. I have 4 original Xbox’s connected to 4 old school CRT’s on rolling media carts that stay in my garage. We’ve been throwing Halo CE LAN parties for the last 12 years and have thrown tons since MCC came out because…
(1) They completely botched the feel of THE REAL Halo CE on console. It’s obvious they used the Halo PC code, which would be fine if it felt like the same game, but alas it doesn’t at all. So sad for all those younger fans that now think, “This is Halo CE? What a crappy game.” The original console version is very different in terms of feel and polish.
(2) There is no true LAN option in MCC. What!? Almost heresy. It’s pretty shady 343 doesn’t respond to any forums or questions about the missing LAN functionality. It’s even worse because one of their staff members PROMISED LAN ability via Twitter prior to release. The Halo franchise basically invinted LAN parties… what a fail to ignore the original fans month after month!
At least just respond 343! Tell us why it can’t be done or that it’s in the works. At least then we’d have some closure. Good grief.
There is no real LAN setting, I have tried this. To my knowledge this is just an XboxOne issue not the Halo CE from TMCC. You can play WLAN, but you can not play in a true LAN environment as before and to go one step further to prove this concept I even set up XBC and there is just no LAN capability.
