I just bought a 4K-HD TV and now that I’m playing Halo 5 on it, my aim seems quite a bit worse than it was yesterday when I was playing on my old TV… almost like there is some input lag or something.
What can I do to be sure? I mean, it isn’t a lot if it’s there, but if it is, is there any way to calibrate the TV or even my Xbox further? I guess I didn’t think about going through my Xbox System settings…
Bro…just shutup and enjoy the eyecandy. Also set ur picturemode to game that will fix the inputlag. I’m still stuck with ma 1080p60fps led. Shame xbox barely even reaches that.

Consoles don’t output a 4k resolution. You’re not getting the most out of the tv by running games through it, and your games are hindered by input lag by running through it.
The whole game is beautiful on 4k! don’t give up on the 4k tv yet it will take some time to get us to it plus you might have just been having a bad day of gaming LOL!
Input lag is awful on those TV’s. Gaming is one thing where bigger isn’t better, why do you think the pros play on 22-27’’ monitors? I bought a viewsonic VX-something years ago and it’s still doing amazing. If you want to play good, stop playing on a 4k-HD tv. It only makes it look good, makes you play worse.
The TV will upscale it to 4K. It’s not real 4K, but the software will still making a good image. I tried it on my 4K on a 135 inch screen. I did not feel any input lag at all.

That fixed it! Played a couple games and it feels so much better… Thanks so much man!
I thought it was just adjusting picture settings when you change the picture mode but I guess there’s more going on behind the scenes?
Your brain is used to adjusting the movement on the screen to the movement in your hands. Muscle memory and so on…
You just need a bit more time to get used to the different ratio of screen:hand dimensions.
WIth gaming on a bigger TV you are often better sitting a bit further away (it also helps with your peripheral vision and what’s going around at the edges of the screen).
I do. When it comes to bigger TV’s, there’s a bit more lag to them. Nothing crazy, just something you may have to adjust to. One way you can cut down on lag is to use a wired controller instead of a wireless controller.
The bigger the tv the longer the input lag. Also having more pixels doesn’t help much either… I play on a computer monitor. I just find it looks better and performs better than my 720p tv.
Even on gaming mode you’re probably still getting some input lag. Best bet is to just get a gaming monitor and leave that ultra hd stuff for the movies.
