If you are able to get 220-240fps or better average consistently, what hardware and settings are you using?
I’m currently running a 9900ks @5.2 GHz with a 3090, and at 5120x1440 I can’t get consistently to 200fps+, even when using 50% resolution scale and low settings.
Wondering if anyone is having better luck with a newer CPU?
The game isn’t running as good as it could be on PC. Apparently it only utilizes about 50% of your GPU. I still use a 1080ti and I can run Forza Horizon 5 on all Ultra with about 100fps, but Infinite barely manages a stable 60fps for me, even when everything isn’t on Ultra or High.
I see about 95% GPU utilization when running at low/50% resolution scale, so it looks like a CPU bottleneck to me.
If I run native res and ultra settings, I see 99-100% GPU utilization. The performance seems pretty bad for the visuals on offer at those settings - can’t even get 120fps - but I think that’s a different problem maybe than mine with trying to push out 240fps? I dunno.
I can’t remember the company, but they usually analyze games and benchmark them in detail. The game isn’t properly utilizing the hardware is what it comes down to, it isn’t the hardware itself.
You might be thinking of digital foundry?
In any case, I don’t know of any testing sites that are going to work on something as niche as “can you get 240fps on low settings”.
