Anyone notice some details in the pro/epilogue...

Here’s the halo s anniversary prologue and epilogoue: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hue_VSFpiYM

First of all, in the prologue, the arbiter looks at a hologram of the same creature/structure as in the halo 5 e3 teaser.
In the epilogue, when the arbiter asks locke if he’s friend or foe, we hear the pilot(?) announce that the covenant are inbound. Is this THE covenant, or just a splinter faction such as in halo 4?

PS. I’ve not read any of the books set post halo 4, so I apologise if this seems stupid to those who may already know. And I’d appreciate no spoilers as I’m just speculating with what 343 has given us

Anyone else notice anything in the cutscenes?

Yeah, really cool that they have a hologram of that Forerunner machine in the E3 2013 trailer. They must be fighting Jul’s splinter Covenant.

This ‘splinter cell’ is actually the Separatist parties and Sangheili people who believe in a democratic and peaceful co-existance with Humanity… mending the wounds of the long war. They are called the ‘Swords of Sanghelios’… while Jul 'Mdama’s Covenant Remnant has not be named, however, it could be suggested that they are the Didact’s Hand.

Thanks Logic Plague, its good to get some background info without spoilers

Has anyone else noticed the other Spartans with Locke in the background. I didn’t expect Locke to have an entire team with him.

Just noticed something else the Plasma Rifle was in the cutscenes. Does this mean it will be returning in Halo 5.

I think they were called the Storm faction

Yeah, they’re certainly… colourful. I’m intrigued

Locke plus three spartans, Arby plus three elites, players 2 3 and 4 get to be their custom characters? possible 8 person in campaign?

I wonder if coop partners will be the three Spartans in the background. With how customize their armor looks maybe players 2, 3 and 4 get to use their multiplayer spartans when on a Locke mission.

I guess you need all the help you can get if you’re hunting the Chief.

Yes, bad voice acting and a pink spartan.

Those 3 Spartans would just be generic Spartans like the Elites were if they weren’t important, my bets are on them being co-op partners, hopefully this means blue team is the Master Chief’s co-op partners, we’ve already seen Fred in Halo 5 after all.

The green spartan’s visor reminds me of Halo: Reach’s operator helmet, Centurion from H2A or Air Assault from Halo 4. I’m hoping it’s Centurion, the red one looked like Hoplite.

I was wondering how Locke would be able to take down chief. If he’s brought a whole squad of Spartans that makes more sense.

Though if Chief is still with blue team it will still be a whitewash…
