The more I read about H4 the more I get worried. Instant respawn, AA, Perkish things, unlocking weapons, weapon drops, and etc. Doesn’t sound like a Halo game. IMO 343i is trying to turn H4 into something halo isn’t. I want halo to go back to its core functions. I am alright with change, just not whole new thing.
Also, was anyone else upset when 343i revealed H5 and H6? I thought is was a little pompous.
I’m excited for the campaign and the 50 Spartan Ops missions in season one. I’m also excited to see what the classic playlists play like and the forge. I’m also excited to see the new gametypes they create and what ones they bring back, VIP hopefully.
Everything you said is Multiplayer - Why not focus on the Campaign more? The Halo universe has some of the best stories I have ever come across, and in each Halo game the Campaign has been fantastic. Altough I am looking forward to Multiplayer aswell, I am particulary exited for the Campaign (which includes Spartan OPs.)
A great story is what makes Halo what it is - Not just things that affect Multiplayer.
I don’t understand why 343 are making the changes they’re making either, I just hope they know what they’re doing and won’t do something to push halo back like Reach did.
No I’m not nervous at all. Mainly because if Halo 4 sucks, Bungie’s new IP is there to pick up the slack. And if sales of that are good, we might get a Marathon remake. For the first time in a decade, I have a non Halo shooter I’m excited about.
The Instant Respawn is better than you think. Remember playing Reach and waiting to be spawned even though the timer says 0 seconds left til spawn? Yeah, forget waiting for that crap, I want to get back into the action quickly. I hate waiting for a timer to do its job properly. Instant Respawn fixes all of my spawn problems. Also, spawn camping is harder when a large amount of people can instantly show up and ruin spawn campers.

Why would I be concerned about something that’s going to last 10 hours compared to something that may last thousands?

Is Spartan OP’s not considered another campaign? Is it not a continuation of the story? And is it not going to last just as long as Competitive Multiplayer does?
Also, alot of people that buy Halo 4 don’t have Xbox Live.
A fool would be nervous about a game that hasn’t even come out yet. If Halo 4 didn’t change, then there would be NO WAY that they could compete against other shooters like CoD, Battlefield, ect. Seriously people, it’s just a game…
I’m not nervous at all. Clearly 343i learned from what happened with Reach. They’ve realized that we play Halo for cool abilities. Those get to stay. I was so nervous they’d listen to all those losers who used to like Halo and get rid of AAs. Rest easy my friend. They know we like load-outs and guns with bloom that take at least 5 shots to kill. 343 knows why Reach was the most popular Halo to date, and I don’t think anything will change. Maybe we’ll even get cooler AAs this time. I’m looking forward to using all of my new powers in H4.
