I know things might never be the same as they were before, but is anyone else missing the Flood being a crucial element to a Halo plot?

Not having bodies, AI are immune to flood infection in the same way as organics, but with enough biomass to become a gravemind, the flood generate the “logic plague” which apparently corrupts AI. I suppose that could be argued as a form of flood infection.
As annoying as the flood where I do honestly miss them… It would be nice if they where in halo 6 kinda reigniting the Promethen/flood war and stuff… Be kinda cool if they had all factions so to speak, brutes,covenant,flood,forerunner etc in 6. On can I hope I mean if you know what happened you spirit of fire then it’s not impossible to re introduce the flood in the future ,right?
No, I don’t even miss them slightly. Every level they were on I just hated. Sometimes, things need to end. That’s how I feel about the flood. I’m so happy they haven’t been on any halo lately. Admittedly, the Prometheons are garbage too.
While I believe that are gonna try to push this whole AI war thing on us…maybe having a Gravemind or Mendicant Bias on our side wouldn’t be so bad…
I used to hate the Flood but I would welcome them at this point. I’m kinda burnt out from fighting Prometheans.

Not really. The threat they presented was resolved. I don’t see a need to bring them into the current crisis.
I thought about this the other day - I did enjoy blasting the Flood to pieces - but as some have said, their story was resolved. Might be nice to see them include as a round or two in Warzone. A little bit of nostalgia is great.
Seeing the flood would be interesting but I would be fine either way.
