So I hopped in forge the other day for the first time in Halo 5, I actually haven’t messed around in forge since Halo 3, and Lord help me it has changed… a lot.
Anybody messing around with it? Tips? Sharing Maps?
Only way to share maps is adding the creators of the maps unfortunately… pray that we get a file browser soon.
Also watch out for the spawn glitch so save your map often as separate maps, otherwise you will find yourself having your controller snapped in half realizing that you wasted all that time for nothing.
That’s pretty miserable… I feel like Halo 5 had such an auspicious promise. But it’s evident that as they added nuance and flair they downgraded certain aspects as well. Thanks for the tips, I’ll remember that if I try to forge again.

The controls make a lot of sense once you get used to them.
It’s less of a map editor and more of a map creator. Play with various primitives to make silly structures, and then take a part you really like and make a building of it. Make a little 1v1 map around it. Play with the lighting objects, if you want.
There is a lot of room for creativity in this Forge.
I think you’re right, at first the controls made no sense at all. I’m getting a feel for it now
I’m making a vehicle/weapon arena called sky car brawl 8. If your wondering why it’s called “8”, its because sky car brawl 1-7 is on Halo 4. You can find them in my file share there. I did notice several bugs in Halo 5’s forge which is preventing me from completing it.
I’m also making a dodgeball arena and I can’t complete it until the gravity hammer returns in this months update.
