Hey, I was just wondering when all our game mode ranks will be reset? I have heard it is today but I can’t find any info on the rank being reset anytime soon!!
I haven’t heard of it being today, but the best I can give is sometime this month since 343 has said anything yet I’d just wait till they do. I wouldn’t think they’d wait till the end of the month to do it though either.
I didn’t even know ranks would reset. I mean, why would they? It’s not like it says “Season 1” or so…why have ranks reset if they don’t have seasons? Maybe this is Season 1, but then the question is why we can’t see any Season-leaderboard or in-game system stating that we are playing Season 1 right now.
I think the overarching plan is for monthly seasons / resets.
This is supposed to start with the December update?
Funny that in our regular group the ‘damage sponge’ finally got 10 games under his belt… and was ranked in a higher division than the rest of us! Guess it just goes to show that soaking up the bullets does help your team win more games!

Dunno, but they have previously stated that each month would be a season and after the month is over they’d be reset. I also believe you can gain rewards for your ranks as well from what I read.

Ooh if you can gain rewards from your rank that would be pretty sweet because I have 3 onyx ranks
I thought the current playlists wouldn’t be reset and there’d be new seasonal ones that would be. Can anyone confirm?

> The Cartographer’s Gift update also brings with it the arrival of Seasons, which we last talked about in October. Seasons are a new competitive feature for Arena which will give you a chance to continually challenge yourself in ranked playlists, and also prove that you’ve improved your game since the last Season. The January 2016 Season will begin with the Cartographer’s Gift update (set to drop the week of December 15) and end on January 31, which will make the first season a little over a month long. Moving forward, we’re going to keep an eye on feedback regarding season length. We’ve seen your comments and concerns about Seasons being too short or too long, and we will be looking to hit the sweet spot to ensure that the duration feels just right.
