Dude on other team just applied an overshield in the in the middle of a gunfight while fighting on the rocks between armories on ARC.

Ive never seen anyone who could apply an os nowhere near a req station before. What’s the secret?

I recorded this from his perspective in theater.

Cant do links i don’t think. So if anyone wants to put one in go for it :).

EDIT. It was a glitch caused by lag I imagine. I went went further back into theater and I can hear that he spawned a req, just took a very long time to apply for some reason. Thanks for the info guys. It was weird fighting a dude and having him apply an os mid fight.

I’ve had the same thing happen to me with speed boosts before. I think it’s caused by lag when you spawn with a powerup, then if you start sprinting immediately you can’t enter the animation to use whatever powerup you have, so when you stop sprinting your spartan can finally use it.
Edit: OP you can put in links, it’s the chain looking icon between the spoiler and user link icons.

It’s happened to me before. How long were you with him? Sometimes they lag behind long enough to get in a fight.

I just guessing but I think A: Its some glitch that gave him a overshield or his overshield he bought finally came in. Or B: He modded.

This makes the most sense, but also sounds like a sneaky thing people could exploit if they knew how.

Ah.

Now I see.

If I go further back in theater from his perspective I can hear Sarah Palmer announcing that he called a req. It’s about another 10 seconds before the clip.

Just for some reason it didn’t apply until then. Weird warzone lag I guess.
