anyone know how strong the vehicles are?

In terms of armor, do they blow up easily from DMR/Sniper fire like in H4/Reach.I was curious since they have upgraded vehicle variants in REQ packs, would normal vehicles be crappy by default?

Not sure, I’d hope since we’re spending our in game currency on them that they’d be a bit more solid. I was playing halo 3 yesterday and was driving a warthog on rats nest we got stuck and I by instinct thinking it would kill us hopped out. The warthog was fine, but I died as a result.

By a cynical definition, aren’t defaults crappy compared to the upgraded?
The Mongooses with weapons have less armour than the nonweaponized one. There’s an ONI Scorpion that is either faster with equal armour or is just as fast but more durable (the description is not crystal clear).
The Banshee comes shielded on nearly every model.

And as the DMR and Sniper are very strong sandbox weapons to begin with, it’s not a shocker that they would hurt light or medium armoured vehicles. Driving into an enemy’s spawn/base believing it should be a free ride simply because it’s a vehicle… THAT’S shocking.

If the Warthog was undamaged in H4 or Reach, it would have survived as well.
If your H3 'Hog was at half armour or less, you’d have blown up.

there are upgraded versions of vehicles available in req packs. from the ones they’ve showed, the descriptions on the special ones usually say something about upgraded armor.
