Sorry if this has been posted before, been searching forums for 30mins and couldn’t find what i was looking for.
Does anyone know any details on Forge? I’ve been building maps for games (Halo, CS, etc.) since 2007 and I think this Halo should have some sort of Bot system in it. I understand it’s probably really difficult to implement AI bots in a forge world, but even just Bots that stand still and don’t do anything will do (I have a list of about 20 mini-game maps I can make with just standing bots).
CS:GO is an example, i know it’s a PC game and bla bla bla, but I think using Bots in Halo to create maps to help practice your aim would be a good feature (especially as aiming is so much more challenging in this game compared to previous Halos) or just creating fun mini-games.
Haven’t heard anything as far as the inclusion of AI assets (“bots”) but from what little I have seen, there’s going to be a lot of stuff in the toolbox. There was a brief mention in one of the Halo Channel spots on the new Forge about enhanced scripting, so that may hint that there might be some ability to include AI elements. Which would be really cool, actually. I’d love to create some Warzone maps, including the occasional boss mob insertion.

Yes, i have a feeling this forge will be the best yet, purely because of the size and the amount of things you can do.
I started in the Halo 3 days when the custom games community was big and my friends and I had a ton of fun. I remember discussing with a lot of people in the community around 2009/10 about how many more cool games could be created with bots.

I’m pretty sure 343 announced they had to spend as much time as they could on the warzone multiplayer mode so they couldn’t include AI bots in the new forge. Sad to see it happen but maybe they will release it later on.

Shame, but I suppose you can’t fault them for prioritising what they wanted to do.
AI bots are maybe a bit of a stretch, maybe just spawning in still Bots will do, i imagine that would be much easier.
I really hope that they add bots, I have been posting about that since Halo 3. I mean if Counter Strike could do it, than Halo could easily get them added.
Nah it’s impossible apparently unless requested by a majority of the fanbase. Josh Holmes did mention how he’d like to see it there at some point but then it’s easy to just say stuff like that
