I believe that most of the Gears of War multiplayer lobbies were filled up predominantly with Halo players based on the fact that Halo set the standard, albeit that Gears is Third person shooter and Halo is a first person shooter.
Nonetheless, I enjoyed both games and still do…

It’s going to be in the same position as halo lol exact same. Original trilogy complete and now in the hands of a new team. Hopefully they handle it better then some of the ppl here tbh

Well. Rod Feguson told, that if there will be something from gameplay/lore… which will not fit to their vision of new Gears game, they just ignore it. So “appeal to community?” Not sure

Yeah I can’t wait… this and Halo r pretty much the only reasons y I still didn’t sell my xbox one

wrong forum or not, just wanted to see if any halo fans are also fans of gears. lets be honest. ill play halo over gears any day of the week, but gears was an awesome trilogy, look forward to seeing if they can keep the franchise alive with the new game
I am a GoW fan too, and yeah, they will follow the same path as MCC.
Marcus Fenix Collection will hit stores november, and GoW: 4 (or Pendulum Wars) will be for next year.
Btw, The gametype breakthrough is inspired by GoW Warzone gametype, I guarantee it 100% it was Quinn Del Hoyo’s idea.
Wrong forum, but yes. I’ve always quite liked third person shooters and Gears of War definitely needs to be the “it” thing again.
Here’s hoping Black Tusk Studios delivers (something other than Gears of War Judgment, please for the love of god).
Yip, I agree, judgement was not the best performance. (loosing the main character of the game - bad move)
I liked Gears of War to an extent. Defintely one of may favorite campaigns but the multiplayer is sort of a joke. I’ll still play it for fun though i guess

While I do agree that they are more vocal with their real community (I see Frankie on GAF 100x more than here on waypoint) i cant exactly say I fully trust a new dev with no experience just yet, even with Rod.
I dunno, I really liked Gears 1-3, but I absolutely hated Gears Judgement. It seems like that franchise really sunk after Epic stopped development. The controls were CODified and the mathmaking was broken. Sound familiar to anyone?
