Anyone here play Halo with physical disabilities?

I was wondering how many of you have any physical disabilities and play the Halo series and how have you adapted.

Myself am a bilateral amputee having lost my left arm just above my elbow and my left leg above my knee cap. I’m still able to play Halo MM and ranked pretty consistently playing with a xbox elite controller. I use 2 paddles on the bottom for my left bumper/triggers and use my left elbow to move. I keep telling myself I should maybe stream while I play to see peoples responses lmao.

But yeah would love to see how everyone adapts to playing

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. I’d certainly highly recommend sharing more via streaming and other media if you’re comfortable to do so and I for one would watch and support it any way I could.

I try and do charity fundraising every year for the UK charity, Special Effect, and one of the big things there is role models to show the beneficiaries (and their families) the benefits and what is possible with accessibility features/hardware.

The Xbox Ambassadors programme and streamers like CerebralPaul also have fantastic platforms and support too.

Super brave of you to share this. You’re a real inspiration, not many people can openly talk about that sort of thing. You should totally look into streaming. I think that would be really cool, and I bet you would be real good at it! Keep on being you, my friend.

That’s really interesting. Ima look into the xbox ambassadors thing

Wow you’re awesome!

Speaking of adapting, Microsoft has been selling this Xbox Adaptive Controller along with corresponding accessories for some time, maybe they can further enhance your experience?

Really inspiring to learn of you!

Have you thought about prosthetics? You should probably stream.

Yeah I wear prosthetics normally except when I play

Unless having dogwater vision, and neck pain counts…

Keep up your persistence! You are a champ, playing without a hand!

I play with Multiple Sclerosis myself, cant feel my entire left side, often play with hazed or blurred vision and very slow reaction/response time. I still enjoy playing although im sure the person on the other side assumes im a noob, ive been here from the start of Halo.
