When I saw the title I guessed what was going to be in the post…
I was half right, but this is EVEN BETTER <3
Woop, woop! Honestly October 27th CAN NOT get here soon enough. I haven’t been this excited for a Halo game since Halo 3. #TeamMasterChief all the way.
I saw the latter half of this in leaked material and it was already detailed by RUL, but it’s awesome to see the scene portrayed prior to that engagement. It is really great to see more of Blue team. I think it can now be surmised that Fred is having some doubts about Chief’s mental stability?
“I haven’t seen Chief press himself like this since we were in boot camp.”
“He’s fine, Fred.”
“Well this many missions non-stop isn’t fine.”
I also noticed how Fred stepped in before they evacuated the Pelican to ask if Chief was good, to which Chief nodded. I think Fred may challenge Chief at some point, with Kelly possibly defending John since she’s his closest friend. I don’t see why Fred wouldn’t, especially after Chief starts seeing ghostly visions of Cortana. There might be some friction between them earlier in the game. Hopefully John can handle it.

Ugh, Fred may outrank John, but he usually defers to John anyway because John has always been the de facto leader ever since he was a child. But there’s a chance he might try to step in and take command of Blue Team if he remains as skeptical of Chief throughout the campaign as he appears here in this cinematic. I think he seems legitimately concerned for John’s well-being since he lost Cortana

I’ve officially seen this eight times in eight different places. I refuse to watch anymore gameplay or cinematics from Halo 5 until I’m actually playing the game. I’m already maxed out on hype and I wanna be as surprised as possible when I dart playing through the story but I don’t think I’ll last very long because I have no self control.

Posting it in the Universe section - while appropriate - probably didn’t help much either. I see ‘recent’ threads here be a day or two old, while you get a thread a minute over in the Halo 5 subsection. 
On top of that, the poor Monitors have to clean up after all the duplicate threads over there too, from people flooding in each posting their version of “Look at this video that Grim linked us to!” at the same time.
That has indeed made my day.

AMEN for Blue Team.
I commented in the other thread as well but yep, can’t get over this trailer. I’ve watched it a handful of times and it still has a heavier impact each time I see it. You know how a lot of girls start crying while watching chick flicks, especially with happy moments? Yeah, I’m that girl who is gross sobbing out of excitement and hype over a video game currently.
Really though, after this cinematic I think I’m officially done with any trailers or actual game content for campaign and will be going dark with them. I don’t mind multiplayer stuff or articles about canon and the development process on Waypoint but, I don’t think I can handle anymore trailers or cinematics at this point teasing about the lore. :’( It was hard enough waiting the last couple of days for my copy of Last Light to get here; I’m going to have a heck of a time waiting until the end of October now.
Also, can I pre-host funeral services for my sleeping schedule since it’s going to be non-existent come the game’s release?
John seems like John here, pushing himself. Fred does seem to take the role of ‘producer of the team’, and Kelly handing out the weapons trying to reassure him. Linda’s the quietest one and ready for action.

Just everything about that opening was perfect. And now I want to know what Blue Team’s attack on the Perpetual Devotion was.
It was amazing, happy to come back online and see that trailer! Exactly how Spartan 2s would be portrayed, that was pretty amazing for just the beginning lol.
I kept telling myself I wouldnt watch that scene because it would ruin the badassitude when I play it…
