Anyone excited about the news?

So far I have seen mostly hate on the specializations. But personally I am excited for it.

But more importantly. Forget the specializations for a moment. Did anyone else read this?

“And as for other Recon-like armor-related surprises? “We definitely have some secret [armors] up our sleeves.””

This is what i am crazy about. I can not even begin to imagine what this will mean but it makes me absolutely crazy. What do you guys think this means? Old armor coming back? or totally new armor that will be achievement unlocked?

no but im still excited for the game in general

I am excited for all Halo 4 news. Any features will have to be completely game ruining for me not to be accepting and excited.

I just want more news on the skill-based ranking system

I feel just like you do. The specializations aren’t even unlocked until max rank. And they sound like something good to do after max rank. And the armor interests me too.

Well they did say that 2 of them are available right away. And for people like me who got the LE I will have access to all of them. Though i don’t know how much i will use them besides getting the armor for them.

You’ve heard negative feedback because:

a) The Halo community HATES change; they’d rather have 343i just re-release Halo 2 or 3 again, exactly as it was. But then they’d complain that 343i isn’t doing anything new or creative. It’s an endless, stupid cycle, and…

  1. The people complaining are pretty stupid, considering they’re likely the ones that have yet to even play the game at all, yet they think they know what’s best for it and what will happen with it because… well, there’s no reason, really; they’re just being stupid. Period.

People who are cautiously optimistic are smart, because they know Halo needs to continue to evolve and change, and they are smart enough to realize that it’s just as likely to make the game that much better as it is likely to “ruin” it, so they’re keeping an open mind.

That’s about it.

I love the idea of these Specializations, because there new and different, which in my books is fine

I’m super excited about it!

And keep in mind most of the people complaining about them don’t actually understand what these “Specializations” do…

The news has got me even more excited than i was, I think its a great addition to this already great looking game! And the secret armors hint Is great, Maybe we’ll get some super secret hard armor to unlock?

Gonna go ahead and bet that a secret armor will be “GRD”. They teased it too much in Reach to not have it in Halo 4.

Thank you. I like doing that and seeing if anyone catches it. An old 80’s throwback, lol.

I think they’re going to be awesome, me and my friends can set up a sort of team, each of us having separate specializations

I love the idea.

With Reach, when you reached top rank, that’s it; finished.

But with specializations, Forge, what looks like a fantastic Multiplayer and Campaign, and weekly additions of Spartan Ops mission, this game is looking to be one of the best video game titles to date.

I am extremely excited. I would be worried if 343i didn’t have the Cortana Web, but since they do I am not.

I’m 50/50 on the specializations. On the one hand, they sound utterly game breaking. On the other, they don’t unlock for anyone until you reach lvl 50. Unless of course you get the Limited Edition, which means there will be people with game breaking perks on day one. But still, at LVL 50, it gives you extra stuff to do, a reason to keep playing.

I’m nervous about them, but I have hope!

Limited edition doesn’t give you them on day one, it was confirmed in a Sparkast. You still have to get to level 50.

I don’t care what anyone says, I love the sound of these “specailizations”. And the armour that comes with them are badass!

@iggys fake gtag You still have to be a level 50 to get them even if you own the LE, but you just have access to all of them once you hit 50 than just 2.

yeah what MOaHerder said, if you have LE you can pick any of the 8 whilst at rank 50 but if you have regular you can only pick pioneer or wetworks
