I got my first perfection medal yesterday, yeah, yeah, I know. Big Whoop. But here’s the issue.
The description of the medal clearly states: WIN a slayer game without dying and at least 15 kills. My team lost 50-47, but I went 20-0.
So is it an oversight? As in when the game was made they made the reasonable assumption that if someone does perform well enough to go at least 15 and 0 then their team will win the match. I suppose it’s a fair point. I certainly did my best to win the game, didn’t betray, didn’t steal kills or yoink and helped my team mates out where I could.
My point is, it doesn’t feel right being awarded a Perfection medal when the requirements weren’t actually met. It’s hardly a ‘perfect’ game if your team didn’t win the match! Obviously it’s not a huge complaint, but there you go.
well known occurance, was all over b.net in the early days of reach, been in games myself where the other team lost but one guy on the loosing team got a perfection.
game doesn’t appear to check if you win, it sees the 15 kills with 0 deaths and hands it out.
I have it on my fileshare on Reach. However on here it says no recent files?! If you search it on your xbox you’ll find it. GT Bowden99
And yeah fair enough if it’s been that way since the start. Suppose I’d be pretty annoyed with my team mates if I missed out just because they were horrible.

Yikes, only problem I ever remember with the Perfection medal is in the beta, you could get it in Objective games.

thank god that didn’t stay around, would cause even more objective boosting .
Maybe I can help. I got a Perfection once in multi-team and my team finished in 3rd place. I don’t know if that still counts as a win or not, but I got the medal.
Hey Bowden i dont know if you noticed but you got 20 kills in the game but didnt get a Rampage medal either. Maybe it the Perfection was a consulation prize for not being awarded the Rampage.

Lag switches reset sprees. So it’s possible to have two killing sprees and no deaths.
I understand that Shanez. I just thought it was odd that he got a killing spree, Frenzy and running riot but no Rampage. Maybe they had a host migration after his running riot or after his first couple of kills but he didnt indcate that. It is a shame the game stats dont show “best spree” like the Bungie ones used to.
Does anyone know if Blackscreens/Host Migrations can reset a Perfection. I wouldnt think so because they are calculated as the game ends based on your stats for that game.

Nope, it’s simply calculated on at least 15 kills and no deaths!
