It seems most the topics here are complaints. Is anyone enjoying the game?
While i have played halo since it first came out, halo 4 is my first online fps. It came with 2 weeks Xbox live. I tried it. Got smashed initially, but slowly improved, made some team friends and love the game.
A lot of the complaints are from people who don’t like the changes from past incarnations. I tried reach and CE the other day, and didn’t like. I guess part of it is what you are used to.
There are some issues I agree with. The hog is a deathtrap. I usually chase them on foot. I understand the dmr issues on some maps, but I guess I am learning to play taking this into account. Also ordinance drops introduce a level of randomness that kills competitive play.
I actually enjoy the load out management, trying out armour abilities.
I,ve joined mid game on the losing side, and sometimes you turn it around, and its a great feeling. Other times happy to kd positive. But can be frustrating.
My biggest gripes are getting bored with the big team maps and lag on some games. I guess I’m adjusting to the other issues and don’t have the contrast with older halo games.
All in all I’m having a ball, especially when in a team with mics, even if we lose half the time, and the game could be improved.
Anyone else enjoying it? What do you enjoy the most?
I agree there are issues with the game, but I can find enjoyment. Hell yesterday I had a ball playing! Best match was Exile with 29 kills, got to use the tank twice (I was blue team) and had the highest score. AND I got to play on meltdown!
I can’t stand matchmaking anymore, it’s just not fun for me.
As for CE and Reach, CE was arguably the hardest multiplayer and Reach was terrible by Halo standards.
CE is a good game, but seeing as how you’re new to the whole “Multiplayer” aspect of things, Halo 3 would be easier to pick up than CE.
Halo 4 for me is terrible. I don’t like winning because I used a statistically unbalanced weapon, or a jetpack or some wallhack promethean vision. At the same time, it’s no fun losing because you had a statistically inferior weapon and refused to use ridiculously advantageous armor abilities.
This game would be so much fun without those, but you can’t get away from them outside of customs and forge.
I’m enjoying the game from a forge perspective, but other than that I can’t play it anymore.
Yes, there are problems with the game but I’ve been able to look past most of them to find my enjoyment playing online. I still dislike a lot of the changes made to this installment that differ from the last trilogy like loudouts, ordinance, some AA’s but those are constantly complained about and I’m sick of it tbh. I’ve loved Halo since the beginning and that’s a reason why I still play. I’m definitely not ready to give up like a lot if people have.
I’ve played it last week actually and from what I’ve seen that’ve changed is a major improvement. There are several flubs within the game that I didn’t like but it took time to get over. nothing is perfect. Otherwise, yea, I enjoyed it immensely
I like all Halo games, I enjoy Halo 1 - Halo 4, I see nothing wrong with it APART from the active camo - DMR spamming, I hate using promethean vision because I want to find people, I do like promethean vision, it’s the forced use I don’t like (carbine could use a buff and DMR a nerf)
I am. I have more fun with it then past halo’s. Each halo has had a different approach to itself. But in the end they all still played the same IMO when you get down to the basics. Anyway halo 4 has its own set of issues to me just like every other halo. (wish dominion wasn’t a power weapon spam for one thing) But i still enjoy it as a whole.
