Videogames don’t matter,in the big scheme of things.Arguing about topics you find no value in is also pointless. You can boil anything down to not mattering other than eating, drinking and procreation.

exactly, so if the videogame doesn’t matter then why would the cosmetics matter?
congrats, you just played yourself.
(in your comment that you deleted while I was typing this )
I’ve no problems with the direction they went, I only have qualms about the way they set those things up, since they are obviously counter-productive to what they want to achieve. We’re not talking about the people who are simply angry at this game having F2P, they’re literally crying over spilt milk. But if their main goal was to bundle up dung and sell it like it’s a brick of gold and think people wouldn’t have a problem with that? That’s whacky.

If you’re not willing to acknowledge that they both had severe issues then you’re the one who’s being obtuse. Or maybe you just don’t know what you’re talking about, I don’t know.
I’ll ask again, how about all of the other design decisions in the matchmaking system that are clearly also designed around monetization?
Saying “cosmetics don’t matter” is a convenient way to brush off criticism over their implementation of the model, but it doesn’t change the fact that they literally launched a Halo multiplayer without the intention to include a Slayer playlist LOL
I’ll never understand why some people are so opposed to criticism of corporate business practices and critically evaluating the value proposition of corporate products, as if they’re emotionally invested.
maybe you’re right, maybe there is some evil masterplan to design the game around monetization.
but at the end of the day, the game is still playable, enjoyable and fun. You not buying an armour coating or buying the Battle Pass or even a tier skip for it won’t retract from the fact that those statements are true.
You don’t have to buy anything because they’re purely cosmetics and has literally zero value.
What people should be complaining about is the lack of modes we have and some of the genuine bugs that actually matters.
THERE IS LITERALLY NOTHING about cosmetics or the monetization in this game that matters.
Want that armour set? Well you have to buy for it, don’t want to? Tought luck, time to play this incredibly fun game at Red or Blue spartan #1436
