This. The fact of the matter is that 343 made a disaster of a game and are allowing the MTX’s to take the brunt if the criticism, when they’re quietly letting things slip that they haven’t finished working on. It’s hilarious.
It’s a case of overlapping issues. Customization, Progression and Monetization all tie into each other. Once they’re out of whack, that’s when you start running into troubles… and well, that’s where we are now.
Lmao. This isn’t the hot take you think it is.
I agree with what you’re saying, which in no way contradicts 343’s decision to monetize items in Halo Infinite.
343 is a very successful company. They know what they’re doing. Some snot nosed kid online has no idea what it takes to make money in the gaming business.
That’s not what Ske7ch said
I’m reading text… So no, I didn’t detect sarcasm.
give me one good reason why it matters. Actual reason. Not ‘‘muh customization’’ ‘‘muh personality’’
It. Doesn’t. Matter.
It’s a digital model in a video game. Get your priorities straight.
There is literally nothing important about these cosmetics that is so life changing that you need to have them. If you really think that then something is wrong with you.
Lol, not 343 if their track record for chucking valid criticism out in the trash. Frankly the only way to have fun on these forums is to be as overly sarcastic as possible and get a few chuckles from it.

They’re just one of the bots that 343 forgot to tell us they developed. Similar to the bots that were developed for the game, they are a bot developed for the forums. It’s a propaganda bot that runs around and tells people they’re poor because they can’t afford the items in the MTX shop. (You can tell it’s a bot because it has MTX in it’s name). Pretty easy to spot.

What’s your diagnosis? -Yoink!-? Asperger’s? TBI?
If that happens, I might just stop playing video games, or at least new video games.
I’ll always have 50 different versions of Skyrim to play…
gave me a good laugh
You have no idea what that is. Go troll somewhere else.
Why did you bother uploading an avatar for your forum profile?
How about the fact that the challenge system in conjunction with the playlists is intentionally designed to not allow you to select whichever game type you want to in order to be more grindy, and challenge swaps are sold as a solution to this artificially created problem?
How about the fact that classic playlists are held back as limited time events with corresponding FOMO purchases?
How about the fact that this doesn’t have anywhere near the same features or freedom of choice as any previous Halo multiplayer?
That’s all just an accident and definitely wasn’t a consequence of moentization being a central part of the design philosophy, right?
343 via ske7ch have stated that the customization would be free to unlock via campaign and free rewards in the battle pass. It’s been around for years in various articles. Now it’s all locked behind a paywall. For me, it’s not a matter of the MTX’s, cause I’ll never buy them. It’s the ridiculous premise that they can outright lie to us and get away with it. Further, the fact that ske7ch has said the challenges and unlocks are tied to the challenges which are tied to the UI/UX, and that’s why they can’t change the playlist situation to give us a traditional Halo playlist choice. It’s one joke after another. Anytime any 343 employee talks, presume they’re lying to you.
True irony: a Halo fan, posting on a Halo website (created by 343), about a Halo game (create by 343), telling everyone that 343 has no idea what they’re doing. Get real.
Yeah, 343 did great with the MCC and Halo 5 releases, top level professional work.
You’re welcome to link those articles because I’mm 100% certain they never explicitly said that armour would be unlockable in the campaign or that it would exclusively be free in the Battle Pass.
We have cosmetics in the campaign to unlock.
We have cosmetics in the Battle Pass to unlock for free
Sure it sucks that most is paid for, but it’s still in line with what was said.
why do you even bother replying when your trolling clearly doesn’t work?
But you don’t gain any advantage in communication on the forum from your avatar, so why did you personalize it?
