Not going to lie, the LE is a really great value to me, but i cant shake this feeling of sadface. Its great that we get all the DLC plus all the other in game goodies. Well we do get a briefing packet of some sort at least. It sounds like its going to be more like those news article clips that we got from Halsey’s Journal though. I just thought that 343i would go more out with there first game of their new trilogy you know? That said this edition looks SMASHING (I love metal cases).
I just wish that a hard copy of Forward Unto Dawn was provided.
Other than that, everything else is fine.
For me, those statues and journals don’t add much to me and any information can be found on wikis/devoted universe guys.
However, i realize that there is an audience who is to that sort of thing and i find it awesome 343 is continuing the trend by expanding the universe in it’s products.
In the end though, the more in game content that i can digest the better my experience will be. I just love when layers and layers of content are within the game, keeps me playing and such.
I love the LE. I can certainly understand the little bit of sadness without a large, physical item.
That being said, I’m actually kind of relieved. I’d force myself to buy the most expensive edition, and I really don’t have the money at the moment. I’m kind of glad that I can’t spend more than $100. This fall is going to kill me as it is. Hopefully the Infinity Packet will be similar to Halsey’s Journal. I was pleasantly surprised with that journal.
YES! i want something to decorate my room with!

That’s it. Basically.

I would be perfectly happy with that. A CD is physical even though the content is digital. Too bad its already confirmed for streaming. cringe
at loss a keyring …once you open steel case and enter all the codes …you just have a steel case left
I understand why some people are disappointed at the lack of a statue, but it was never needed. I don’t have the room for a statue, nor did I really want one. I just hope the limited edition comes with a poster or whatever of that awesome box art.
the stuff I got with the LE Reach is dusty and useless now…(including the game disk LOL)
I’d rather have a GIANT Halo 4 Poster but then it would be all creased up and ruined so it’s better to have the digital gifts that you use everytime you play…don’t ya think?
maybe a platinum master chief would be cool tho…

And a briefing packet. Maybe some little trinkets or stuff too, we don’t know yet.
So mad about the forward unto dawn thing.
I WANT A DVD

Don’t we all?
I’m hoping we can download it SOMEHOW, and I could put it on my Ipod or something.

I can already hear me maties hoistin’ the colors…
I do wish there was more physical stuff, though. But the way I see it is this.
Halo: CE was the first Halo game and had no “special edition.” Halo: CEA - as 343i’s “first Halo game” had no limited edition either.
Halo 2, Bungie’s second Halo game, had the standard edition and a Limited Edition with a metal case. In a like fashion, Halo 4 has the standard edition, and a Limited Edition with the metal case.
It’s possible that Halo 5 might have something a little more physical if Halo 4 does well enough.
I’m happy with what we’re getting.
I wanted more digital content this time around. As well as another book or movie.
Next game, maybe something physical would be nice.
Doesn’t bug me. In the next 5-10 years all games will be downloaded, you won’t even get physical copies of your games. So get used to it.

I really, really hope not. Have them on an SD drive or something, but purely digital? That’s just technologically stupid.
I was hoping Forward Unto Dawn was on a DVD instead, but other than that I’m glad we’re getting a lot of in-game stuff for once. I find that the collector’s stuff usually ends up being hidden away in the cupboard or sits on a shelf gathering dust.

This.
Question for you guys; if there was a legendary edition, what would you like to see a statue of?
I just want a gamerpic to go with it.
And I wish the FUD was on a DVD.
