When I saw that we had cat-ears as a helmet attachment, I loved the idea that Spartans could make every helmet in the game a bit of a goofy looking thing. It was certainly a better alternative to Halo 5’s armory where easilly 2/3 of the content was designed to be goofy.
But I am a little bit miffed that the attachment is exclusive to the Mark VII armor core and that there aren’t similar cat-ears available for the Mark V Bravo and the Yoroi armor cores.
I thought I was going to be able to make a threatening/goofy demeanor by equipping the EVA Carved helmet with cat ears. Imagine rounding a corner and seeing Emile’s skull staring you down… but his helmet has cat ears on it? Or wearing the Yokai helmet with horns AND cat ears? It would certainly cause a few laughs.
Sadly however, it is just an attachment that is exclusive to the Mark VII helmets… … … for now at least…

Maybe there will be another pack available in the store next week for a different core, for another $10.
A sad truth that the delay of Halo Infinite had forced 343 to change their business model in order to satisfy their investors who now wanted interest on their already promised returns.
For me its also the fact we cant wear multiple attachments… like a rebreather and cat ears? the two are nowhere near one another on the helmet, zero clipping issues… annnnd nope only allowed one thing at a time… its pretty lame even if i am happy the ears fit on all the helmet types… just, restricting you know?

A very LOOOOOOONG time ago, back when I was but a lad in High School, I wanted to make an ODST themed Halo fangame.
In this fangame, I was hoping to make ODST customization essentially Halo Reach 2.0. I was going o have things like :
- The ability to make all of your limbs into prosthetic limbs.
- Selecting which ODST/Marine/Trooper armor is the base for your customization
- Mix-&-Match attachments for helmets in the form of slecting what your forehead, left ear, right ear, and mouthpiece attachments were.
- Mix-&-Match attachments for torso in the form of chest, belt-line, and backpack attachments.
- Apply Wrist and Utilty attachments to both left and right limbs.
Glad to see the first two bullet-points apply to the armor customization of Halo Infiinite. But if we could mix-&-match helmet attachments, I would REALLY like to see HAZOP helm with the CBRN rebreather and the UA forehead piece applied to it. They seem like they would merge together in a satisfying way.
I want to kill or TK every players with cat ears… 
It would probably be fox ears for Yoroi, why? idk I played Ghost of Tsushima and there were a lot of foxes all over the place.
yeh theres a content issue cosmetic wise, its too restrictive and too limited.
I don’t think they’ll add anything new to the mk5b, they’ll just keeping bringing out the old stuff. I’d like them to be available to everything as well, but I still ain’t buying them for that price.
Yes 100% I do. I’d love the cat ears on the ODST helmet.
Heck it I don’t even care if I have to pay another $10. Call me a shill but nothing will stop me from getting those cat ears for my ODST helm if it becomes available.
I wish they were longer. And floppy. And came with a cottontail.

You will get your wish once 343 releases the Firefall helmet for the Mark VII armor core.
I wish that everything can be put on anything and mixed.
I really like Trailblazer and I wanna use it on MK5B.
I really wanna use Yoroi’s Legs on MK7 too.
I don’t care because I am not wearing some cringey cosmetic, especially when it costs 15 bucks.
