With the transition of Halo from Bungie to 343i, we lost a lot of good perks as a community, like our Nameplates (besides the ones that we currently had on) and the File Shares. 343i Proved that they can bring back the File Shares, like they have already done with Reach, but what I would really like to know is if there are any other community members that either want the Halo 3 / ODST File Share back or know a way to access the File Share for Halo 3 / ODST another way? I honestly would love it if 343i brought back the File Share for Halo 3 / ODST like they did with Reach, seeing that they are well and truly able too.
I’d love to see it back, but I can tell you, it won’t be for a while, they were working on the File Share for Reach for a few months, that alone was taking up a lot of resources from Halo 4’s team and with the Reach file share done, I wouldn’t expect them to stop and work on a Halo 3 File Share for a while.
I think it would be simpler and more classical if they brought back the original file share.
I agree. Saving screenshots/videos of the greatest moments from a certain match, or from campaign is the only way to immortalize that moment in time.
Saving screenshots and videos of cool moments is one of my favorite things to do when i play the Halo games, and it has always been one of the coolest and one of my favorite aspects of the games as well.
I have alot of screenshots and videos saved from the newer Halo games (Halo 3, ODST, Halo Reach), and i think it’s cool that Waypoint now has the Reach fileshare, but those Halo 3 and ODST screenshots/videos are special too, and it would be awesome to have them all in the same place similar to the way they were at Bungie.net.
Hopefully after the Halo 4 craze dies down, Waypoint will have a more complete fileshare page that covers the ENTIRE span of Halo games that support fileshare capabilities.
The most we can do right now is voice our opinions and put our ideas out there, so that the developers can make waypoint and the Halo experience better for everyone
