The elephant has got to be one of the most underrated vehicles halo has ever had, it was the first mobile command centre we could ever drive. It was pretty much the closest thing we ever got to having a frigate or cruiser assist us in battle (the elephant could be used to transport troops and vehicles safely across the map). Not to mention all the glitches you could do to it in forge.
Could you imagine having an elephant on a warzone map! Using it as a mobile spawn point for players to attack the enemy bases. Not to mention having it in halo 5’s forge would be insane, imagine having that thing in a trash compactor map!
Does anyone else miss the elephant?

I’ve never seen or heard of the elephant vehicle.

Have you ever played halo 3?

You never played Halo 3? It was a vehicle in that game and you should Google it if you want to see it.
Make it a capture base in WZ. For balancing reasons it wouldn’t be drivable, because hiding a base would just be broken. So have it ai controlled on a changing path. Make it a rampant ai with unpredictably random driving patterns that occasionally yells nonsense at you for being aboard it vessel.
Well

Making it derivable wouldn’t really cause a balancing issue, it’s a huge slow vehicle which has easy points of access, not to mention were would anyone hide something that huge?

Yes. Spent lots of hours playing it but only on MCC. Particularly the campaign and BTB.

Right next to their home base/other spawn points so they couldn’t be denied nearby spawns when being captured.

Well there’s your problem, the MCC removed it from multiplayer. It was only available to drive on the map sandtrap.

It was in a mission on Halo 4 campaign as well

I’m not saying use it on the warzone maps we have now, it would hardly fit anywhere of use (maybe on the Urban map) but if they were to put it in it should be on a new map which could accommodate it, so that moving it near your home base or places that would ruin balance would be off limits to it.

It wasn’t much larger than a scorpion tank width wise. Creating passageways narrow enough to deny it from passing would mean gridlock for bad drivers of ordinary warzone vehicles.

Or they could just do what they did on halo 3, create invisible boundaries to prevent it from going places it shouldn’t, but other vehicles can go through those boundaries. For example, the elephant could not drive onto the mine field, but warthogs and tanks could. The elephant was also blocked from driving over the buildings in the centre of sandtrap, but any other vehicle could.

In my experience on sandtrap, no one ever really wanted to drive the thing anyways. People just wanted to man the turrets. AI driven would be a godsend.

I loved driving that thing, it was like a personal battle ship. I would drive it across the map loaded up with 2 mongooses and a warthog and would do hit and run assaults on the enemy base. I suppose 343 could have an AI driving it but if a player wants to take control they can. Like how titans on titanfall work, the AI controls it until someone else wants to drive.
I would prefer the shadow instead of the elephant.

Also a good idea, but i chose the elephant at it was derivable before the shadow was.
