I managed to snag a Series X last week during a local Target restock, but one of my buds who still hasn’t gotten his yet asked me to spend the night camping outside our local GameStop for it (since they’re doing an in-person restock tomorrow morning). I was like “hell yes” and now we’re the first nutcases at the store—so basically a guaranteed victory once we hit 7 AM. I’ll be posting here sporadically throughout the night, but I want to check in first and see if anyone else is as crazy as us!
Don’t have Gamestop in my country, but I bid you good luck in your endeavor! I hope to see your updates soon on it soon.

I am not - the ease of Amazon Prime and the complications of COVID has kind of killed the midnight/waiting in-line release for me (also, I don’t terribly care about getting the new consoles right away), but good luck to you!

Thanks to you both! He got one, and I got the Shock Blue controller I wanted. The real victory was finally getting that Red Shift coating, though.

Yep! There were about 10 other people by 4 AM, and then close to 15 at 6 AM when the employees arrived and started giving us those paper slips confirming which console we’d be getting.
Has anyone here honestly gotten the Series X yet?
Tbh I don’t have a reason to get rid of my OG Xbox One until either one of two things happens:
- Halo Infinite releases - My current Xbox One breaksUntil one of those two things happens, I’ll be sticking with my current system. Long story short, no I’m not waiting in line. But to those who plan to, good luck! I wish I could go back to relive the excitement when the 360 released.
While I would love to get a XSX, I doubt I am in a position to afford one. When I got my X1, it was a black friday deal where the console came with the MCC.

I managed to snag a Series S, and honestly I’m not too sure why I’d grab the more expensive one without a 4K screen. This tiny thing is a beaut!
