I’ve been wondering for a while now, does anyone other than me use Recon for the controller scheme? Every Halo video I ever watch, when people walk over a weapon it says X to pick up not RB, am I alone lol? Also I use 10 sensitivity which I gather is pretty rare. I have a pretty good accuracy with that too, I didn’t to start with but after a while I got much better and I rarely get below 40% on a match made game. Pretty sure some of my current ranked playlists are sitting close to 50%! I can’t do with the slow aiming, I get attacked from behind far too often and the spawning in this game is probably the worst I’ve ever seen so I like having the ability to react quickly.
I don’t because I usually get accustomed to the default control scheme, though Halo 5’s default controls were a mess to me, so I switched to Halo 4 controls.

I swear I started using recon in Halo 4 because the basic set up was the same as previous games. I could be mistaken but wasn’t the recon scheme set up the default in Halo 3? I think I changed to it in Halo 4 because I was used to it, I could be remembering wrongly though.
I actually have used Recon controller scheme since Halo 4. So no you’re not alone fellow Spartan.
I’ve used recon since I started my halo career
I’ve used recon ever since Reach until Halo 5.
Recon FTW… makes Scope/Stabilize jumps tricky though, even more so with manual Stabilize.

same here
Been using it since Reach. The only issue I have with Recon is aiming the ground pound since I have to use my thumb to aim and hit the button.
Glad to hear it’s not just me! Yeah there are some things that can be slightly tricky with that set up but I love it. I don’t know why it just feels natural to me, every time I try a different one I just cannot get used to it
I used to play recon, but I switched over to bumperjumper and I’m enjoying the freedom of movement.
I thought you were talking you about the armour.
I use recon regularly.
I can comfortably play claw grip though so the whole bumperjumper thing doesn’t really have any merit for how long it takes to relearn an entire controller scheme though IMO.

I do been playing Halo 3 for quite some time so yeah the control scheme got stuck in my head.
I think Gamecheat13 use the Recon control layout. Here’s the vid
I’ve always used recon. Because to this day I still play halo 3 on the 360 so whenever I go to play it I already know all the controls.

Ah see I thought I remembered Halo 3 using RB to switch weapons and reload as default, that was the first Halo I properly played and I love that set up

I went back to Halo MCC and it took me ages to work out how to play, I get used to the button layout the new games have, but I think they change the controller buttonsa bit too much with each new game (since halo 3: odst)
I have never tried recon out. Ive been a fan of bumper jumper ever since its introduction and have no desire to switch it up at the moment
I’ve always used Boxer.
i used to use recon
