I understand the people who actually leave constructive critisism, but the ones I get annoyed with are the ones who just complain about something and dont give any suggestions on how to improve it.

I agree with this, but sadly it’s to no avail. People will do whatever they can to justify their rage threads and the OP will probably need a fire-proof suit before this is all over.

Personally I feel as though the real fans of the series are the ones “complaining”. Regardless whether you think so or not most of them bring up great points in there threads.

I OWN the game. i actually pre ordered 2 copies, one from amazon and the LE from GameStop. I spent another $45 on the controller too. i still think it was worth the money.

And the people who aren’t complaining and actually enjoying the game don’t own the game? Or didn’t spend their own money on it?
I can say I am fine with spending my money on this game. Because I have accepted the fact that halo from now on will not be Halo CE, or Halo 2, or Halo 3. Things change. I know some people don’t like change (I myself don’t like it from time to time), but nothing is every going to be like it was before. This is 2012, not 2001.
The “real” Halo fans do not even support 343 or Halo. Nuff Said
The ones complaining that it is not Halo forget that the first title was named “Halo: Combat Evolved” and not “Halo: Combat Stagnated”.
Halo 4 should be called “Halo 4: Combat Evolved Further”.
One person even went as far as to say that 343i should have just repackaged Halo 3. AND THEY WERE SERIOUS. facepalm
I would like 343i to release Halo 2 Anniversary if only for the fact that it would mean that all the Halo games are playable on the 360 so you can do the whole campaign series so far. Halo 5 will be on the next gen console so things will change all over again. In fact I just ordered a copy of CE Anniversary because I missed out last year as it didn’t interest me at the time.
Halo 4 has reignited my love for Halo that begin to die off after Halo 2. I don’t know why… I’ve just got addicted to Halo again.
What most of you members don’t understand is that they completely threw out the Halo formula. Most of you wouldn’t understand this simply because some of you never actually understood what the formula was. Put it this way, it’s like buying the new GTA and finding out that they took free roam off and made it so you can’t do anything violent. Those are the 2 main reasons people play GTA and they just took it off.
I’m getting tired of the complainers that are complaining about complainers. Let them have their own say and opinion, it shouldn’t effect you in any way. There are numerous threads like this made each day yet they serve no purpose. Let the people post their opinion, you may see it as complaining but it is constructive criticism. These people have been fans of a series for more than a decade, they have the right to complain as much as they want. Sure, some may not go the best way about providing criticism or providing feedback but many make constructive posts only to be derailed by people flaming and complaining about them complaining.

It doesn’t matter what year it is. An unhappy customer is an unhappy customer. If people buy the game and they’re unhappy with it, they can complain. It doesn’t matter if there are people online enjoying the game. That’s totally irrelevant to the person with the complaint(s) personal happiness with the game.
If the complaint threads bother you, don’t click on them. ALL companies rely on feedback to help them improve their products (I have to explain this to you since you don’t know this) and the more feedback they get, positive or negative, is valuable to them. Threads like yours are not appreciated by them or others looking to improve the game. In short, you’re wasting your time and you should go find something better to do.

There’s the problem, right there, why so many are ‘complaining’ on the forum. Many of us are here, because Halo was nothing like COD, well, until H4 anyway. I didn’t want a rehash of H:CE, H2, H3, ODST, Reach… But I did want a game that was closer to the gameplay of these, instead of closer to COD, Battlefield, etc…
On a personal note, I can’t stand COD, so why would I want to go play it?
& also, R.I.P kids? Unless you’re pushing half a century or older, don’t refer to me as a kid, I turned 36 in June.

You have got to be kidding me. I’ve been playing Halo from CE to Halo 4 and I have absolutely no issue with Halo 4. The people complaining about Halo 4 seem to be those who joined during the Halo 3/Reach era and lack the ability to make constructive posts. I have yet to see one whiner who has decent spelling or a logical argument to support their claims.
Halo 3 and Reach weren’t even that great. Halo 2’s community alone far outpaced either of those.
If you have nothing to say but good job 343, then YOU get the hell off the forums. They are MADE for complainers.

The most annoying thing to me is the sheer amount of people that complain about trivial things… There was literally a guy complaining about 343’s new Marine UNSC emblem…
Constructive criticism is the way to go. Granted, it is not always easy for people to articulate their complaints constructively…

Oh god, the sheer stupidity of those threads make me rage so hard.
I’m still sad of the direction Halo is going non the less.
Also I don’t know how this game has been evolved further.
Revolutionary things like Duel Wielding, detailed races, good looking armor customization like in Reach (without cheap rehashes of already unlocked armor), being taken out of the game that made those features its own is making Halo 4 a better game.
Snow doesn’t feel like snow any more, grenades and your feet don’t kick it up. The water looks like Nickelodeon slime. Spartan Ops are now Multiplayer maps that are ending up being re-used with a few forge items being thrown in to “mix” them up.
In my opinion the new art direction is terribly abstract and all the armor looks very ridiculous and unconventional (like the Hazop helmet?).
Broken maps like Complex with no collision data in an archway where people can hide up in and camp inside of. Assassinating people and falling through maps, which I have video proof of.
Overall I say this game is a great improvement to the franchise… Hur.
I’m not saying this to -assassination!- or moan, but these are my opinions.
All of the detail fall short and is very lack luster.
The campaign is not memorable at all, no snappy lines from anyone, no crazy marine that was afraid out of his mind. Forerunner weapons that have almost no innovation or creativity other than how its modeled.
Mind you I don’t HATE Halo 4, I just don’t like its new approach hopefully 343 will do better next time because this certainly was a disappointment to me.
Hopefully in the next few games they will do a better job with being throughly precise with everything instead of taking cheap little short cuts to make the game run better.
But like I said, with all the disappointments I find the game playable, and there are a few times I enjoy having fun playing it. But I will always love Reach for how detailed it was in all of the elements that were in the game. Even though Halo 4 is great on other levels, it still feels like it was made with the same quality that was given to the 1967 Spiderman Cartoon.
