The maps in Halo 4 aren’t the greatest right now, but I’ll say I’m sick and tired of people voting for Ragnarock! It seems out of every 10 games I play about 7 are always on this map. It’s not as good as it was in the previous Halo games. Anyone else agree with me?

Might as well rename the CTF gametype 24/7 Ragnarok.
I tried going for the Daily Challenge yesterday and gave up because it was Ragnarok every time.
I just play dominion, no Ragnarok at all.
I’ve already gotten sick of it. It’s like Hemorrhage all over again. Fun at first… but after playing it a million times in a row, it gets on my nerves. Can’t wait for the DLC to come out in December.
Call me old school but I stopped playing Halo after 3 was out for a little bit. I’m all about how it used to be like in Halo 2 and 1 days. I understand the need and desire to add new elements to the game but things like the Mech I just feel aren’t fitting for this game. Yeah I can’t get any CTF games or even KOTH games really that aren’t on Ragnarock. I wouldn’t mind playing it every now and then but its like a 24/7 thing with these people. I wish the old matchmaking would come back where you didn’t get to vote.
the only complaint i have about that map is the interior buildings… they’re too small and plain boring. they should’ve been more creative and do something with it instead of making it simple.
I love Ragnarok.
I want more remade maps.
Then I want all the remade maps put in a seperate playlist with eachother so everyone can get along.

The buildings are very plain compared to how they once were. I don’t like how they’ve made the rim around the top a little higher so you have to stand on top of it to shoot over. I would love to see some good remade maps in the future too as well as even a separate playlist or two for them too. I think that would be awesome. I’m all for new maps and all but I just feel that the ones we have could’ve had more.
I’m tired of Ragnarok too, I want to go an punch all the people who vote for it, I mean you finish a game in it and then everyone vote it again, also if you begin in a Started match of Big team you have a 90% of chance to be Ragnarok.
At first I loved it since I got pretty cool kills with the sniper but after repeating it over and over again, I’m getting tired of the Mantis also.
It’s a cool map and all but there is like other 4 maps to pick in CTF and Big Team, besides the new maps of Halo 4 are pretty well in my opinion, a lot better than Reach’s.
I particulary don’t like CTF on Ragnarok 5v5, I think Ragnarok should be CTF but 8v8. 5v5 its too empty.
Note: They should remove the Mantis from Meltdown or at least increase the time respawn of it, it just have been destroyed and it has already respawned.
One thing that contributes to the emptiness feeling of this map (as well as others) is the lack of weapons that spawn on the map. I’m not just talking about power weapons, but I mean there’s no AR, BR, DMR, etc spawns. You can run out of ammo really quickly and in a huge map like this there aren’t many close battles that you can run by or to so you can swap a weapon. I still can’t figure out why they’d take that sort of thing from the game.
Yes! Soooo sick of Ragnorock, now I quit out when it gets voted for, which is most of the time! Not only sick of it now, but it’s an old map! Been playing that map for years! At least they could have changed the look if they wanted the same layout, make it desert or forerunner or something.
Nope. Although as far as big team goes, Exile gets equal playtime. People love that tank (mostly me).

It would still be pretty bad without the mantis, but it would at least be bearable.

This… Is a beautiful idea.
I would gladly play only Ragnarok for the rest of Halo 4 if they allowed the option to be matched with people from your region so you don’t get the awful lag.
I actually like it now. I didn’t like Halo 3 as much as the other Halo’s, so playing on Valhalla wasn’t always a pleasure… But I love it in Halo 4.
I actually very much enjoy it. I also enjoyed Exile until playing on it every other game of Dominion and BTB.
I always enjoyed playing on it in Halo 3, and it still remains true for Halo 4.
I was tired of Valhalla back in Halo 3. I was not excited when I learned it would be returning in Halo 4.
I’ve come to hate the map. It baffles me that people still vote for it 90% of the time in BTB. The other maps are good, I don’t understand it. At first I thought it was the mantis, but half the time nobody else even takes it now. Not sure what makes people want to play the same map for 4-5 straight matches.
