Has anyone else noticed the drastic reduction in blast radius for the Railgun? I think they nerfed it about a week after launch. I remember both the Sticky Det and Railgun having a much larger blast radius in the first week. The Sticky Det is still good, but the Railgun is almost not worth using. You have to hit someone pretty much dead on to get a kill. And if you miss, it’s a hell of a long time before you get the chance to fire again. And how come it sucks so bad against vehicles?

Hasn’t it always been like that, though? Get your aim right, instant kill. Mess up, you’re dead yourself? Honestly, I love the damn thing. Even more than I loved the GL in Reach. As for it being poor against vehicles… well, I dunno really. I’m pretty sure it 2/3 shots a Ghost? That’s not too bad, plus it’s pretty damn good at flipping 'Hogs if you hit 'em right.
I haven’t really noticed a difference with the railgun. It’s always been a direct-impact type weapon.
The sticky detonator feels like it’s been nerfed in terms of blast radius. They have to literally be standing on top of the projectile for you to land a kill.
yeah i guess so, i remember getting alot of shields popped off when i missed with the det now i can never get anything with it i hadnt really thought they nerfed it i just thought i must be slipping skillwise with it. And it sucks against vehicles because its made for infantry slaying its whole purpose was to not focus on vehicles and focus on elite, promethean, and spartan killing, as the developers said its a spartan laser for poeple, they admitted it sucked against vehicles because that wasnt its focus, if it did what the spartan laser did then we wouldnt need a spartan laser would we?
The Railgun seems fine to me. I remember it “always” being dead on/at there feet. Otherwise it would not be a kill shot.

Same for me as well. I’ve always had to hit someone dead on or at least directly at the feet to kill them.
Maybe I should up my sensitivity. That might help with getting Railgun kills.
But what really irks me is that it’s not an instant hit. It’s a railgun for Christ’s sake, its projectiles should be going like Mach 16.
Just wished I could use it more often instead of constantly being stuck with needlers or shotguns.
Also 3-4 ammo is a bit low in my opinion.
Never liked it, never will…i’ll take the grenade launcher over that.
I love the railgun, seems perfect to me. Although it seems a little innacurate at long ranges, I’d like it to be laser-precise (not asking for a scope, just for it to land right on the little dot every time).
And a railgun realistically would tear through a vehicle instantly. But I think vehicles have enough to worry about with the DMR, Plasma Pistol Spawns, and crappy splattering.

Yeah, I loved the Grenade Launcher, but I think the Railgun is one of the coolest weapons that’s ever been in Halo, both in use and aesthetics. I’d like to see them replace the Sticky Det with the GL in the next Halo.
