Anyone else think the CE magnum should exist

Simple suggestion, the halo CE magnum should be found on maps in persision weapon slots. 3 shots to kill high damage against shields. Sure the bruit revolver is taking its place but it would be nice to have it as an option.

It’d be redundant imo as part of the basic sandbox. It came into H5 later on, it’ll probably do the same in Infinite.

All I ever wanted for every halo is for the CE magnum to exist.

There’s no sense in adding weapons for the sake of it without taking into consideration balance. We have the sidekick instead of the magnum for a reason, the CE magnum with a 3 shot kill would be horrible.

Don’t know if/how it would factor into balancing or competitive gametypes but I expect pretty much all “classic” weapons will eventually be added, since it’s a live service game and they have to keep the content flowing. Some of them might be limited to Forge/customs tho

Man you are not going to like the brute magnum then, it is basicly the CE magnum but with a blade.

Seeing how the game played in technical, they could easily balance classic weapons, Take the CE mangum, it could easily spawn as a precision weapon on wall rack, or a power weapon. As for balancing for play that would take months of testing and tweaking.

Yeah, but some times redundant options are nice especially with random spawns like we saw in the technical. Having two similar weapons that can spawn in a location might change your play a bit.

I say no. Whenever I play a match in CE all I hear is Magnums. I really do not want it to be the case in Infinite too.

Bring back all the old weapons… and put them in the customs / forging sandbox.

There we can reminisce and bathe in nostalgia to our heart’s content.

Keep the other sandboxes (ranked / social) clean and balanced with weapons designed and tailored to suit.

The CE magnum fit in very well in the CE sandbox, but in a modern sandbox I think that it would fit better with something along the lines of the Halo 4 magnum. If it was down to me I’d replace the Sidekick with that, they are almost the same weapon apart from the scope, design and name.

Not really, mostly because the new brute revolver is apparently going to act exactly like it. So it would be more an option then anything else.

that said With the random on map spawns, it could easily be given a place like putting it in the persision weapon or power weapon group.

I loved the pistol that was in the Tech Preview. I can live without the CE pistol.

The Brute Mangler is more of a closer range weapon than the CE Magnum.
The CE Magnum literally cross maps players, that isn’t fun to play against.

Sure it’s a fun weapon but it doesn’t make for particularly great multiplayer combat. It worked in CE because the sandbox wasn’t so expansive.
The CE magnum doesn’t really work in a modern arena shooter that well.

I love Halo CE Magnum, but I don’t see it happening in Halo Infinite until later on. Probably as power weapon as in Halo 5: Guardians

Defnitly!! I created a chat about this a couple weeks ago saying the same thing! That pistol was awesome!

:+1: it’d be cool to have it as a starting weapon again, it’s the best utility weapon halo has had.

I’m all for it being available in customs and Action Sack modes, but definitely not in ranked play. The thing would be more of a power weapon than rockets or the sniper lol

It’s not even remotely similar to the magnum, so god knows what you’re going on about with that. It’s fire rate is literally on par with the sniper rifle, which is why it could even be a 2sk to anywhere on the body and it would still be balanced. You need to consider these things before you demand for every weapon under the sun to be in the game
