Anyone else think legendary was really easy?

Breezed through it took about 7-8 hours (SOLO) and i died less then 200 times now comparing that to dieing over 1000 times on halo reach.

In other halo games 3-4 levels might of taken that long…

Not complaining though thoroughly enjoyed it.

Lol I wish I was that good. I couldn’t get through the fourth mission without cutting difficulty to search for terminals. Legendary was always a pain in my -Yoink-, and I dread having to finish this game solo. Reach Legendary i recall was easy, but only because I haven’t bothered with it since I got AMTAYS. Could you hit me up and help me with CO OP?

You must have got better since reaches campaign since i think halo 4s is alot harder than reaches.

It was easy because they didn’t put like 300% damage this time to every single enemy in the whole game. The fight were actually mostly fair as they didn’t had that much of a damage/resistance advantage over the player. Reach is probably the worst Halo game when it comes to player/ai disparity.

As for total time. With less than 100 death on the first run legendary(mostly died at choke point) I can say it took me 9 hours and a half approximately to complete the entire game (no skip of firefight/all enemy in a level cleared). It was about the same time for any Halo i’ve played from Halo CE to Halo 4 which I all done between 8 and 10 hours on legendary.

I agree, the AI just wasn’t smart at all. I saw so many enemys running or flying against walls.

You’ve gotta be a dang good Halo player to think Halo: Reach’s Legendary campaign was easy. Elites were bullet sponges, jackals and grunts could kill you in like 2 seconds.

I actually played thru it better than heroic (my first run thru), but after several Halo games and their mechanics, and knowing a few tricks with the Knights, yeah the Legendary was not as brutal as I was expecting. I think my stats were close to yours.

Haha, we are all over the map.

I’m different as well.

Haven’t beaten legendary of H4 yet. On Mission 6 currently.

But, I would rank them in difficulty:

Hardest:
Halo 2
Halo CE
Halo 4
Halo 3
Halo Reach
Easiest:

I thought reach was easiest. XD

But, it just depends on the person.

Replay halo 3 legendary, i swear it is easy as hell. Maybe back in 2007 you weren’t amazing and reach you were a lot better.

I started playing Halo 4 legendary with my friends yesterday, I had to check a few times to make sure it hadn’t changed the difficulty when we made it to the next level.

Excluding ODST, Reach is the easiest IMO.

You can run through most of the campaign without actually killing many enemies lol.

I thought it was easy. ~100 deaths for me.

That’s the other thing, you’re right. Knowing Legendary tactics. Plasma pistols, Needlers, when to run, etc.

The more experienced I get, pretty much the easier they are. Who would have thought? :stuck_out_tongue:

Much easier.

For Reach, I ran through most of the later levels because I was getting tired of getting molested by the Elites.

In H4, I killed just about anything and everything, with ammo to spare. Knights were easy to deal with once I clocked on a decent technique to kill them before they could teleport away.

In the final missions, saving the power weapons like the Incineration Cannon made it a walk in the park.

I found it pretty easy, strolled through it in less than 5 or 6 hours. I think the only time I actually got stuck and died multiple times was on Shutdown, where you have to get off the moving platform and take out a bunch of prometheans (namely one with a binary rifle) that are defending the button to get the platform moving again.

Personally, I think it’s an utter -Yoink- on Legendary. A total pain in the -Yoink-, and for myself the most challenging campaign in Halo yet. I breezed through Reach, and tore through the other games before it. Halo CE taking the longest, of course.

At times it has its moments, the thing with halo 4 legendary is the lack of checkpoints in certain key areas. If you destroy 3 banshees, 3 elites, 2 knights and are finally able to make the push to get deeper into the level but mysteriously get killed by a binary rifle holding jackal then all that hard work goes right down the drain.

Was hoping they would have something along the lines of you get a few kills on some really tough enemies you get a checkpoint for your trouble. I don’t mind dying if it was my own fault due to lack of foresight of not having the right weapon or checking to see if i had ammo, but games that just kill you cause you stepped in a certain spot and it loaded up enemies on you is just frustrating.

Then you have missions with the ghost trying to speed your way off requiem but some how right before each jump you hit the edge of the rock face and you tumble to your death. Same for the last mission when flying around, there is a door that is closing and if you weren’t boosting all the time you would slam into it.

In all, it was mostly a frustrating time trying to do it, not difficult. Levels could have given a few more checkpoints and weapons should stay on the battle field a tad longer. The ammo boxes are so subtle I never knew they existed till today, and thats after I beat this game on legendary.

Way too easy. Normal gave me a lot of trouble though.

Easiest Halo game imo. I miss the challenge Halo 2 had when it came to Legendary.

Save for a few parts in the middle, it was pretty easy. Especially the last level.
