It would be nice if the top 3 players got the win in FFA stat wise, I do not care if it effects CSR. First and Second place would be good, also if you are not top 3 and getting any of the top players in each game or all are lower, you should loose CSR. People can get it every game, I see playing all champions and getting 5th not loosing any or getting a couple CSR, or even more. But chapions that grind all day everyday to get 4th and gain CSR is kind of crazy.
Problem is that in ffa your csr is only around 2/3 what you got last season when you place, but with your mmr the same. So they have to give away csr like confetti regardless of how you finish your matches so your csr matches your mmr quite quickly. Its ludicrous but in part due to the foolish onyx 1700 cap and cos 343 are tryung to make us play more than 10 games a season to artificially keep the population high. So they make us grind to our rank but without our match results meaning a great deal.
For us eu players it gets worse-we get less matches on our servers or at all so we get less games than everyone else so our rank up is slower-hence we are at a major disadvantage in getting to champion. Losing only 1 csr when you come 6th on usa servers feels ok because the server, not the players, defeat you (and even on usa servers i beat champs often). But all things being equal on a server level it is incredibly stupid. But i will never get champ even though i am skilled eniugh cos i cant get games and they are never fair servers either.
Yea, I knew they were doing it to make us play more. Its dumb, I litterally been doing terrible last 2 seasons too.
Its all timing as well. I get -Yoinking!- second so much it makes me angry. BR spawn should be hald the games, seriously -Yoinking!- annoying ARs in FFA would ween out the BKs.

I think.that it would be great if 1st to 3rd got counted as a win in ffa as in team games 1/2 the players there get a win. Plus ffa players look.like they have bad stats-i have a 35ish per cent win record cos i play ffa so much and winning is sooo hard! Lol
I concur. I’d probably play nothing but FFA if it would count 1-3 as winners and 4-6 as losers. I know you’re not supposed to care about stats but you can’t help it, it’s just human nature, and there’s very little incentive to play it when even if I’m doing fairly well, it does nothing but drag your W/L down. Even very skilled players might finish 2nd due to sheer poor luck with spawns and whatnot. (Not saying I am skilled because I’m not, but the argument still applies.)

wait is that why I was getting matched with diamond and onyx in placements and got placed in gold? lmao
It’s good for them to undershoot ur skill level a little bit in order to avoid someone get placed into a division that destroys them horribly, but I think they pushed it to far. Every season I get up to onyx in
free for all, highest being 1750
when I complete placements playing people of the same skills and getting similar results I get placed I plat 2-3
btw if you guys noticed, you gain a lot of csr for 1st place, you gain a “decent” bit at second place, you get a little bit at 3rd and you get a very TINY amount for 4th place, it’s almost like your rank didn’t change at all. 5th place you lose a decent bit of csr,opposite of 2nd place, And 6th place you lose a lot of csr, opposite to 1st place.
this is assuming that you play against people extremely close to your skill level.
i was an onyx 1600 and played 4 Champions and 1 2100 and got 5th place and gained a little bit of csr, like 4-6 ish csr

I can beat onyx and diamond, but I can also lose vs gold, it depends how my internet connection is doing and how frustrated I get
I understand how they do the ranks but I think they do it overboard, and it seems kind of random for all modes my ranks as followed from last season to this season
I only really player team arena and ffa, I’m bad at the other modes and oly do them for the sake of doing them

I do agree that they should lower your rank so you have to climb back up to prove you belong in that rank, but if you are making me vs higher rank players at least rank me close to the rank I’m playing at
obviously I finished in diamond I don’t expect to be placed in onyx or diamond maybe plat 2 or 3 would be better
I believe I should get a bigger CSR boost for demoloshing champions when I am only placed Diamond.

I’d be cool if 1st-3rd counted as a win, being that the -Yoink- ranking does not compliment FFA players at all.
1st-3rd should be a win - sample size about 5,000+ FFA games across loads of FPS
Halo 3 - was a win
Halo Reach - was a win
Halo 4 - was a win, except for the basket case Regicide
COD all games - top 3 is a win

I would say so. I match onyx 2000s placing and get dumped low diamond or high plat. Truth is your placement rank is never your true ffa rank. Add around 500 or 600 csr (1.5 to 2 divisions higher and you get a rough guess as to what it should be). Prob is that your mmr is so high then that you cant get the games so.your csr catches up to your mmr. So if you are playing diamond and onyx you are prob mid to high diamond level at least. And remember, until you are around 200 csr from your true mmr then you go up from 5th place or up in any match.
